This course is labeled as an "operations" course, but in truth combines strategy,
operations, and some forms of technology.
The course is designed to develop practical ways to visualize and then manage
complex networks of companies and markets - now required to deliver products,
services, or “solutions”. This management discipline is increasingly called "extended
enterprise management"1.
The course is ultimately about business processes that extend far beyond single
companies, yet into the daily transactions of single companies at the same time.
