bills, and will allow the electric grid to support a higher percentage of solar generation.
One major inhibitor to a hydrogen society is economical hydrogen liquefaction systems to support safe storage and
transportation of this fuel. Development of commercially available low cost magnetocaloric materials for magnetic refrigeratio
systems would enable a highly efficient and economical solution to support hydrogen liquefaction infrastructure.
There is a need for technology innovation in development of a low-cost marine atmospheric boundary layer (MABL)
measurement system which could serve as a core element of a buoy-based data collection network for the offshore renewable
energy industry. The objective of this research and development effort is to develop a low cost, low power, fully coherent, mari
atmospheric boundary layer wind profiling Doppler radar measurement system which could serve as a lower-cost alternative to
existing measurement technologies.
Novel buildings designed to reduce energy use can compromise indoor air quality, and existing humidity sensors do not stay
accurate over extended periods. The proposed optical sensors for stabilizing relative humidity will have unprecedented long-te
