MURDOCK, Judge.The issue presented by this appeal and petition for thewrit of mandamus is whether attorneys purportedly authorizedby the governor to act in connection with a task force createdto investigate allegedly illegal gambling devices andactivities and to pursue prosecutions in relation to suchdevices and activities must have the permission of theattorney general, the local district attorney, and the countysheriff before pursuing an investigation or prosecution in aparticular county. At least insofar as it concerns theattorney general and a district attorney, the same issue wasaddressed in Ex parte State (In re Riley v.
