When Katie and Wilbur walked into the club they found themselves in a deep red cloakroom. A stocky man with a face that looked set in stone stood by the door leading into the dinning area and stage, Katie knew the bouncer, she meet him many times when she came to wait for her brother. She had never really gone into the club since her argument with Julius, but she had waited with the bouncer for an hour at least. Katie stood before the bald stone and smiled brightly “hey Erick, me and detective sergeant Hamilton need to speak to Julius” Katie chirped causing Wilbur to give her a dry look “I don’t know Katie, Julius wouldn’t be too please if I let the cops in or you” Erick declared while Katie rocked on her heels “I know, I know, but if I pulled a gun on you and said you had to let us in or I would blow your head off, what would Julius say” Katie asked while crossing her arms. She wouldn’t shoot Erick, but she had to make sure both he and Wilbur knew that “he would say you should have done it, I can’t fail him Katie, not since I let you through with a loaded weapon” Erick said before holding his left hand to him slightly, like a dog holds his lame paw to him, Julius must have hurt him good. Katie felt sorry for him, but not too much “how about getting Serine out here, she can worm Julius around her finger” Katie ordered, knowing full well that was a long shot, Serine hated Katie with a pure hate and the only reason she didn’t kill her was because Julius had ordered it so, that and the fact Katie had built up a lot of protection within different packs and any threat to Katie was like a threat to them. Erick knew that Katie knew that but still he laughed, “You’re more cracked then I thought, Serine isn’t your favourite fan. Look I can tell you when everyone came in or left,” Erick said firmly while crossing his arms, showing his somewhat barrel chest, Katie knew he didn’t have anything on the magnum sitting comfy in her pocket and visible Wilbur looked like he could take Erick with little difficulty, but Katie knew full well that Erick could stop Wilbur and any attack on himself with a fluid movement that Katie had only ever seen on those documentaries movies about wild animals “look Erick, if you won’t let me go through how about Detective Sergeant Hamilton here, he is a cop” Katie suggested as Erick shook his head firmly “I can’t and unless he got a warrant to come pass me then I’m going to have to say no” Erick was still holding his ground and proved he was not going to let them through unless they got a warrant to ask questions or Katie blew a hole through his chest. And she knew which one would get her in jail. So Katie thought of something else to ask Erick that might not get them thrown into jail for batter and assault “you said you knew who came in and who left, who was the last person to leave before the police arrived on the scene” Katie was hoping this was a long shot, but thankfully a golden glint of Erick’s true animal sparked in his eyes before he smiled “I can tell you that, seeing as I’m a good citizen. The last person to leave was Danny Tanner, he knows the owner Julius. He left about eight just as the entertainment started” Erick told them noticing the small expression of surprise that swam across Katie’s face, she hid it well enough from Wilbur but not Erick “and the last people to come in” Wilbur took over while Katie pictured Danny ripping the poor man apart, she tried but couldn’t at least not while standing next to a detective sergeant “a couple, this dark haired short guy who comes by a lot and his latest catch, she was tall blonde and had a great figure. Kinder draws the eyes away from shortie, they arrived just bit after eight, they were running late” Erick told them with a proud push out of his chest, Katie gave him a distracted smile and nodded “is there any other way out of the club apart from the front door” Katie asked as Erick scanned his memory and shook his head “nope, the windows in the club are small, to small for anyone to fit through, even a kid” Erick admitted truthfully, and it was the best Katie and Wilbur were going to get tonight. The club was a like a locked down cell when Erick stood in the doorway, unless he was involved with the killing in which case he wouldn’t tell them any more. Katie looked at Wilbur who had the same face that read that meant there was nothing more he needed to know “I’ll be in touch, and if anything comes up that proves someone might have gotten out of the club with out you knowing, I’ll get a nice little warrant, just for you” Wilbur bit out before he turned on his heels and walked out, Katie went to follow but Erick touched her arm gently causing her to look back at him “you know Danny” Erick asked as Katie nodded “yeah, he shares an apartment with Jason and he was the lackey that Julius sent to my office” Katie told as Erick pulled his hand back and let them hang by his sides “he didn’t do this Katie, Danny wouldn’t harm any pack member” Erick assured causing Katie to frown, Erick was being genuine, which made Katie think that Danny had nothing to do with this or he was a very good liar. She didn’t know which one to believe “you know about the other three murders” Katie asked as Erick nodded before sighing, letting his shoulders slump “yeah, everyone knows about them, everyone that is who ain’t the cops” Erick said as Katie nodded before she flexed her fingers as the skin of her hands started to feel as though they were tightening “Danny found all the bodies right, expect the one found to night” Katie said as Erick nodded, frowning at Katie’s line of questioning “was the one found tonight a werewolf” Katie asked as Erick thought “did he have blonde hair” Erick asked with a smooth voice, his eyes no longer showed emotion and that would have worried Katie if she didn’t have the police out side “yeah, long blonde, though it might have been light brown hair with all the good those flood lights are” Katie offered as Erick folded his arms again and nodded “then yeah, it must be Steven, he didn’t show up for his act last night. Julius got pissed off and threaten to fire him” Erick winched at the thought of Julius getting angry and held his left hand slightly to him again while Katie sighed “did you know Steven” Katie asked as Erick shook his head like a small child “only by what he looked like and his voice, like I said before everyone has to come by me to get into the club” Erick told her as Katie nodded “did Steven leave alone the other night” Katie asked as Erick thought and went to nod but stopped and shook his head “no, he walked out with another shape shifter, a werehyena I think. Jamul Hussein, he knows Julius through Serine” Erick said as Katie nodded and took the information in “by any chance did you see the other three victims leaving with any one” Katie asked as Erick shook his head “no you didn’t see them leaving with anyone or no you didn’t see them” Katie asked while Erick sighed and let his arms fall by his side again and rolled his shoulders “they didn’t leave with anyone, but Jamul has been in here a lot, I think he’s trying to get Serine to switch packs, he’s always had the hot’s for her” Erick said with a scornful tone. Serine had been chosen to be Julius’s mate because she was so appealing to the opposite sex, that’s what she used on Julius. And having only met her once, Katie had to agree that she was very attractive, but not for her. “Who hasn’t? Look I have to get out of here now, if you see Jason tell him to be careful” Katie said as Erick nodded before Katie gave him a smile before she turned and went to walk out but her right keen buckled and caused Katie to lose her footing for a second, but thanks to the small arch in the wall next to the door she could stand up “you ok” Erick’s voice called as Katie waved a hand and stood on her own “yeah, see you Erick” Katie called before hobbling out of the club, she was paying for her fall now.
