EXPLORE EDUPHORIA
The goal for today’s session is that you will have a chance to be introducedto two programs that are part of Eduphoria. The two we will focus on areForethought, the lesson planning tool and Aware, the tool that will give youinformation about the students TAKS results and eventually be very helpfulin the benchmarking process. These programs are actually pretty easy to use and the district has workedvery hard to make them as helpful and as transparent as possible. The firstway they did that is in the Log In screen. You get to it by typing one word “eduphoria” in the Address window of your browser. It uses your Novell log in and so it should be really easy to remember yourlog in and password.

The Entry page will show you what applications you have access to you. Youmay have different ones than I do. I use the Help Desk almost every day! Ithas been very helpful for IS to have a way to get good report data about thework that they do.

FORETHOUGHT
This session is an exploratory session with the goal that you will have time toset up your own schedule and see how Forethought works. It is also asession designed to collect questions and concerns about using this. In eachof the hands on work labs there will be a clipboard with a paper that willcollect your questions and concerns. These can be anonymous or you canput your name on them. Since the programs are new to me too I amassuming I will not have the answers to most of the questions, but I will findout.1. SET UP YOUR SCHEDULE
Suggestion:
The program will allow you to choose dates. Go to atime in the past for practice. You can always change what is in thefuture, but the program will not let you change the past easily. Thereare good reasons for this, but when you are practicing it can befrustrating.
