Jane couldn’t believe her eyes as Mr. Michael theprincipal introduced a child that she had never seen before atschool, to her new homeroom class. Jane and her best friendKate went to Maroondah Secondary College. “Students, this isNick.” The sun twinkled in his eye as he shook his blonde hair. Jane’s mouth drooped in amazement.“Wow.” Said Jane in a day dreamy way.“Jane? Hello earth to Jane?” whispered Kate. Clicking herfingers in front of her face.For the rest of the day, Jane couldn’t keep her eyes off Nick; it was as if they were glued to him.“Jane? Jane!” shouted Kate angrily.”Yes yes what?” answered Jane a little bit frightened.“What’s wrong with you?”“Oh, you like the new kid don’t you?” said Kate“No…” she denied.“Ok yes but he’s so cute!” she said staring into space.3:30 came to fast for Jane; she needed to look at herNickiboos at all times. (Which she called him!)“See ya Jane.” Called Kate from her house. The two girls livedacross the street from one another.“Bye.” Replied Jane. She couldn’t wait to see her Nickiboos inthe morning.The alarm clock screamed at 7:00 am on Tuesday. Jane jumped up and frantically got dressed, had breakfast,(cornflakes.), brushed her teeth, brushed her hair, saidgoodbye to her Mum and raced out to meet Kate at the busstop which was at the end of their street. “Hi Kate!” puffed Jane as she came to a sudden stop.“Hi, the bus will be here soon.” Answered Kate. As soon as shehad finished, the bus pulled up in front of them. It stopped, thedoors opened and the girls stepped in together. They sat intheir usual spot in the front row. They arrived at school bangon 8 o’clock as school started at 8:30.“Looks Jane it’s your Nickiboos, but he looks like he’s withanother girl.” Said Kate nervously.
