After viewing YouTube video and given access to the internet and the Glogster web 2.0 application the studentwill be able to create an online poster that includes at least 5 accurate facts along with a title and images graphicswith no more than 1 inaccuracy as measured by teacher review using a rubric.
Assessment Plan(What will be done to determine if lesson objectives have been met?)
Using information obtained a YouTube video the student will create an online poster that includes 5 accuratefacts about the solar system along with graphics which will be reviewed by the teacher using a rubric.
Materials:
Computers, Internet access, YouTube video, Glogster account
Inclusion Techniques for Students with Special Needs:
Possible inclusion techniques may include: special seating near teacher, having a peer partner to aid the studentor others depending on the special need of the particular student.
Enrichment Techniques:
Possible enrichment techniques may include: working in groups to create a Jeopardy-like game usinginformation from each group member or going on a class field trip to a local science museum.
Lesson Differentiation (What modifications/accommodations will be made to ensure that ALL students have access to and are ableto participate in the lesson):
Modifications and accommodations for this lesson would depend on the students in the class. Some possiblemodifications may be giving the student the option of creating a traditional poster instead of a Glogster poster if that student is not able to use the computer, giving the student the option to go back to view the video again athis/her own pace, or giving the student a folder of graphics to use instead of having to search on their own.
