So you want to know if you have a G3 or a G4 Model of your Prophet ?

Basiclly what G3/G4 means it the type of DOC used (Disk On Chip)

Soft reset your Prophet (insert the stylus into the little hole on the bottom of
your Prophet (to the left of the mini-USB connector)

When your prophet boots up, it will show you a number of things in red text.

For Example:

IPL: 2.09.000
SPL: 2.20.000
GSM: 02.47.21
OS: 2.20.7.34

If you look at the IPL and SPL numbers, you'll see they end in .000 in this case
your phone in a G3 model.

So, in short:

IPL/SPL: ending in .000 = G3 model

IPL/SPL: ending in .0001 = G4 model

P.S.
It is not possible to upgrade from a G3 model to a G4 model through software, as
the DOC is a piece of Hardware.

Prophet Bootloader And Hard Reset Procedures

Bootloader

There are two ways to enter the bootloader on the Prophet:

Hold down the camera button and reset the device. (Boot Loader Mode is: Press
Camera + Soft Reset, then release soft reset and keep pressing camera button till
appear the Boot Loader.)
Get ftp://xda:xda@ftp.xda-developers.com/Uploads/Prophet/Prophet-
tools/EnterBootLoader.exe
Copy EnterBootLoader.exe to your Prophet and run it. This will start the
bootloader, and red/green/blue colour bands will be displayed on the device.

Once the colour bands are displayed you can connect to the device via USB. Using
mtty or a similiar program and specifying \\.\WCEUSBSH001 as the port.
Hard Reset

To Hard Reset device. Warning this will erase all information, contacts etc.
However data on the SD card will not be erased. Hold down camera button, comm
manager button and reset the device keep holding the buttons down until you get
the following message on the screen: "Press Send to restore factory default." At
this point press Send (Green Phone)

Tweaking your sending size limitation for MMS

Change the value of "SendCount" to 3, then change the value of "SendLimit1" to

102400,
the value of "SendLimit2" to 256000 and the value of "SendLimit3" to 512000 then
when
you go into the MMS setting you can now choose 100k, 250k or 500k from the drop
down box
for "Sending size limitation".

You should be able to to increase the "Sendcount" and corresponding "SendLimit"

entries so
you can have more options from the dropdown menu, but i have not tested this
