Barry Foon
was diagnosed with Non-
Hodgkin’s
Lymphoma, a blood cancer, in 2004. After undergoing
four rounds of chemotherapy, Barry’s doctors informed
him and his family that his best chance for long termremission was through a bone marrow transplant. After adifficult search, he finally found a match, however, Barrywas unable to receive his transplant. He passed away inApril 2007 surrounded by those he loved.

is anon-profit organization dedicated toincreasing the availability of potentialmarrow/stem cell donors for patients with life-threatening diseases curable by a marrow/stem cell transplant, such as leukemia andlymphoma.Asian American Donor Program is holding our 4th Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament inhonor of Barry Foon, an avid golf player and afriend who lost his battle against lymphomain 2007.The goals of this golf tournament are to helpraise money for Asian American Donor Program and to promote awareness withinthe multi-ethnic and multi-racial communitiesabout bone marrow and stem cell transplantsand the critical need to diversify the NationalRegistry.
