WHY?

Recognizing that our fight against genocide is only as strong as the number of people fighting and that true results can only come from actively pressuring our government to take action against the crimes in Darfur,CCGAA will be launching

Ride Against Genocide: Promoting Awarenessand Action

at the end of this month

Ride Against

Genocide

will serve as aneducational tour stopping in many cities throughout Colorado and willinclude brief rest stops in additional cities. The objective of the tour is toincrease media awareness of, and promote advocacy against genocide. Itwill also serve to inform Coloradans about genocide and provide them withtools of action to help stop this current genocide and prevent futuregenocides.

WHAT?

The tour which will cover over 1500 miles in a four day period, willcommence in Denver featuring a press conference at the state capitol andwill end in Golden, Colorado. The

van will act as amoving billboard which will feature CCGAA’s website and logo. CCGAAvolunteers will erect a 10x10 tent and information table outside the van ateach stop. At that point, we will display

, a 20 panel exhibit that travels through a series of genocides that marks thedestructive nature of mankind, distribute promotional materials, collect petition signatures, answer questions and provide interviews with the press.Riding in the van will be several CCGAA volunteers, Sudanese refugees and
