Although not known to many of us, we are supporting the work of the Bennetts in their service for Wycliffe. Here is a summary of their newsletter recently received:
Not only have Scriptures been translated and printed, but also
dictionaries and songbooks for worship. Significant effort has been
made so that literacy classes have been run, and continue to run to
ensure that people can read in their own language.
A major change for daughter, Alison, occurred in February when she
was accepted to study the Bachelor of International Development
course at La Trobe University.
Both Douglas and Jeanette have been involved in the week‐long
Probe course where interested people come to learn more about what
Bible translation involves. Douglas teaches anthropology, Jeanette
literacy and both spend time interacting with the participants.

Ian and I, and possibly Benjamin, will be shaving our
August. If anyone would like to make a donation for this worthwhile cause, please place in money tin at morning tea or contact Ian and Michelle. We feel this is a very small way we can contribute to raise money for something that is very close to us.
This is a great opportunity for our blokes to meet with men from the churches across town. The Guest Speaker will be John Simpson. Gentlemen, young and old, please let John know TODAY if you are planning to participate. Our friends at St Stephens are keen to promote fellowship amongst the men in the town's churches.
