“Let’s press on in faith!”
News from Douglas and Jeanette Bennetts….

Although not known to many of us, we are supporting the work of the Bennetts in their service for Wycliffe. Here is a summary of their newsletter recently received:

The Lote people of East New Britain and the Madara people in the
New Ireland province now have God’s Word in their own language.
This is the area where the Bennetts were serving originally.

Not only have Scriptures been translated and printed, but also
dictionaries and songbooks for worship. Significant effort has been
made so that literacy classes have been run, and continue to run to
ensure that people can read in their own language.

A major change for daughter, Alison, occurred in February when she
was accepted to study the Bachelor of International Development
course at La Trobe University.

Douglas continues to work in administrative roles closely with the
CEO and the Board, and has his hands full with many activities.
For a time Jeanette was relating to new members preparing for full
time ministry, with personnel leaders around the world.

Both Douglas and Jeanette have been involved in the weeklong
Probe course where interested people come to learn more about what
Bible translation involves. Douglas teaches anthropology, Jeanette
literacy and both spend time interacting with the participants.

Please pray for Noel, Nafian, Romen, and Martin as they translate
God’s Word into four of the languages in Madang province and
assist others to do likewise.
Thank you to each of you who prays for us and/or supports us
financially. We are truly grateful and couldn’t continue in this
ministry without you.
Keep Douglas and Jeanette in your prayers and all engaged in the work
of Bible translation through Wycliffe around the world.
