Qaf.

By the glorious Quran, (1)

)1( ‫آن ال َْمجِ ي ِد‬
ِ ‫ق َوالْقُ ْر‬

Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto
them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing: (2)
َ ‫َب ْل َع ِجبُوا أَن َجاء ُه ْم مُن ِذ ٌر ِّم ْن ُه ْم َف َقا َل ْال َكافِر‬
)2( ٌ‫ُون َه َذا َشيْ ٌء َع ِجيب‬

When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought

back again)? That would be a far return! (3)
َ ِ‫أَ ِئ َذا ِم ْت َنا َو ُك َّنا ُت َرابًا َذل‬
)3( ‫ك َرجْ ٌع َبعِي ٌد‬

We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a

recording Book. (4)
ٌ ‫َق ْد َعلِ ْم َنا َما َتنقُصُ اأْل َرْ ضُ ِم ْن ُه ْم َوعِ ن َد َنا ِك َتابٌ َحف‬
)4( ‫ِيظ‬

Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them,
therefor they are now in troubled case. (5)
َ ْ َّ
ٍ ‫َب ْل َكذبُوا ِبال َح ِّق َلمَّا َجاء ُه ْم َف ُه ْم فِي أ ْم ٍر م َِّر‬
)5( ‫يج‬

Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have
constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein?
(6)
ُ ‫أَ َفلَ ْم َي‬
ٍ ‫ْف َب َن ْي َنا َها َو َز َّي َّنا َها َو َما لَ َها مِن فُر‬
)6( ‫ُوج‬ َ ‫نظرُوا إِلَى ال َّس َماء َف ْو َق ُه ْم َكي‬

And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills
therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon, (7)
َ َْ َ ْ‫َواأْل َر‬
ٍ ‫ض َمد َْد َنا َها َوأل َق ْي َنا فِي َها َر َواسِ َي َوأن َب ْت َنا فِي َها مِن ُك ِّل َز ْو ٍج َب ِه‬
)7( ‫يج‬

A vision and a reminder for every penitent slave. (8)

ٍ ‫َتبْصِ َر ًة َو ِذ ْك َرى لِ ُك ِّل َع ْب ٍد ُّمنِي‬
)8( ‫ب‬

And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give
growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, (9)
ٍ ‫ار ًكا َفأَن َب ْت َنا ِب ِه َج َّنا‬
)9( ‫ت َو َحبَّ ْال َحصِ ي ِد‬ َ ‫َو َن َّز ْل َنا م َِن ال َّس َماء َماء ُّم َب‬

And lofty date palms with ranged clusters, (10)

 )10( ‫ت لَّ َها َط ْل ٌع َّنضِ ي ٌد‬
ٍ ‫َوال َّن ْخ َل بَاسِ َقا‬

Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land.

Even so will be the resurrection of the dead. (11)
)11( ‫ِر ْز ًقا لِّ ْل ِع َبا ِد َوأَحْ َي ْي َنا ِب ِه َب ْل َد ًة َّم ْي ًتا َك َذل َِك ْال ُخرُو ُج‬

The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the
dwellers at Ar Kass and (the tribe of) Thamud, (12)
)12( ‫وح َوأَصْ َحابُ الرَّ سِّ َو َثمُو ُد‬ ْ ‫َك َّذ َب‬
ٍ ‫ت َق ْبلَ ُه ْم َق ْو ُم ُن‬

And (the tribe of) Aad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, (13)
)13( ٍ‫َو َعا ٌد َوفِرْ َع ْونُ َوإِ ْخ َوانُ لُوط‬

And the dwellers in the wood, and the folk of Tubba: every one
denied their messengers, therefor My threat took effect. (14)
َ ‫َوأَصْ َحابُ اأْل َ ْي َك ِة َو َق ْو ُم ُتب ٍَّع ُك ٌّل َك َّذ‬
)14( ‫ب الرُّ ُس َل َف َح َّق َوعِ ي ِد‬

Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt
about a new creation. (15)
ٍ ‫أَ َف َع ِيي َنا ِب ْال َخ ْل ِق اأْل َوَّ ِل َب ْل ُه ْم فِي لَب‬
)15( ‫ْس مِّنْ َخ ْل ٍق َجدِي ٍد‬

We verily created a man and We know what his soul whispereth

to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. (16)
)16( ‫ان َو َنعْ لَ ُم َما ُت َوسْ ِوسُ ِب ِه َن ْف ُس ُه َو َنحْ نُ أَ ْق َربُ إِلَ ْي ِه مِنْ َحب ِْل ْال َو ِري ِد‬ َ ِ ‫َولَ َق ْد َخلَ ْق َنا اإْل‬
َ ‫نس‬

When the two Receivers receive (him), seated on the right hand
and on the left, (17)
ِ ‫ِين َو َع ِن ال ِّش َم‬
)17( ‫ال َقعِي ٌد‬ ِ ‫إِ ْذ َي َتلَ َّقى ْال ُم َتلَ ِّق َي‬
ِ ‫ان َع ِن ْال َيم‬

He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready. (18)

ُ ‫َما َي ْلف‬
)18( ‫ِظ مِن َق ْو ٍل إِاَّل لَ َد ْي ِه َرقِيبٌ َعتِي ٌد‬

And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him):
This is that which thou wast wont to shun. (19)
)19( ‫نت ِم ْن ُه َتحِي ُد‬ َ ِ‫ت ِب ْال َح ِّق َذل‬
َ ‫ك َما ُك‬ ِ ‫اءت َس ْك َرةُ ْال َم ْو‬
ْ ‫َو َج‬

And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day. (20)

 )20( ‫ُّور َذل َِك َي ْو ُم ْال َوعِ ي ِد‬
ِ ‫َو ُنفِ َخ فِي الص‬

And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness (21)
ٍ ‫اءت ُك ُّل َن ْف‬
)21( ‫س م ََّع َها َسائ ٌِق َو َش ِهي ٌد‬ ْ ‫َو َج‬

(And unto the evil doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of

this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing
is thy sight this day. (22)
)22( ‫ك ْال َي ْو َم َحدِي ٌد‬ َ ‫ك غِ َطاء‬
َ ‫ك َف َب‬
َ ‫ص ُر‬ َ ‫نت فِي َغ ْفلَ ٍة مِّنْ َه َذا َف َك َش ْف َنا َعن‬
َ ‫لَ َق ْد ُك‬
