California Junior Livestock Association Points Update Aug/Sep 2010

I hope you have all had a wonderful summer! In this issue, you will find the updated points for all members in all thedivisions. Check out the list below to see which shows have been tabulated for points. If you have any questions atall, please give me a call and I will be happy to go over your points with you. Do not wait until the end of the year asit is much easier for me to check my records and show results immediately rather than in December!! If you haveattended more than 8 shows, your top eight shows are included in the total listed here. There are still more shows tobe held in all divisions, so you still have the chance to better your totals for the year-end standingsI enjoy hearing from you, so please continue to email me if you have any questions, concerns, suggestions, ideas, orcomments!As the end of the year draws closer, we are already busy planning for the annual award banquet scheduled forFebruary 2011. In the next few months, we will be sending all members items that will need your attention. It isextremely important that you read through all material sent to you and fill out and return any forms that ask for yourinput. Every year we give special awards to members in each species. These awards are given based on your votesfor those members whom you think deserve this special recognition. We also mail out ballots for you to select new junior directors. Unfortunately, only about one-third of the CJLA membership bothers to return their ballots. Thisorganization is for YOU and your participation is IMPORTANT. So please take the time to return your ballots.One more item I would like to remind you about - our award program relies entirely on the generous donations of themany people and businesses that support the CJLA and its members, and your help is needed in order for us to meetour goals. I would like to ask you to please spread the word about the CJLA and your participation in the association,and to ask for donations from those who you think would be interested in supporting the award program. If you needmore information from us, just let us know and we can contact them or provide you with forms and information topass along.
