so far for the event are: Losander,Luna Shimada, and Danny Garcia.Be for a group of 68, Arnieintroduced the Lecture for theevening, Mentalist Alain Nu.
 Alain Nu, Mentalist
Even if you don’t domentalism, this lecture was theone that introduce everyone intothis whole new world. Alain was aheadlining performer at CaesarsPalace in Las Vegas for four straight years. He was theinternational star of four hour-longtelevision specials for TLCentitled
“The Mysterious World of  Alain Nu.”
On January 20th,2009, Alain appeared before theliving recipients of theCongressional Medal of Honor atthe
Salute to Heroes Inaugural  Ball
in Washington DC
.
 Alain’s lecture called
"Mentalism 2010”,
created a“mental magic show” using parapsychology and mentalism. He began with his version B-Wave called Nu-Wave. Against awine glass was propped 4 cards believed to be the 4 queens. Witha set of “imaginary” cards andthrough audience members participation in choosing red or  black, and a suit he spread thecards showing only one queenreversed and that was therandomly selected card. The other cards were shown as spot cards.“Does anyone read the horoscopesin the newspaper?” Alain wasable to predict which zodiacsomeone belongs to, withoutknowing the person or anythingabout him.His most well-received trick was bending an ordinary, stainlesssteel spoon which was signed byReggie Rice. The spoon appearedstraight as if they came right outof a kitchen drawer. Alain “useshis mind” to force the spoon into acurved shape. He repeats thisagain multipletimes, addingsomethingdifferent eachtime. He bentit “U” shaped, straightened itout and thenforced the spoon’s bowl to twist180 degrees. The bent spoon wasgiven to Reggie to keep.According to Nu, “To believe inmagic, is to believe in yourself.”Alain closed out the session withseveral examples of book tests.Prior to the meeting Alain heldan optional two hour
“Pro MentalWorkshop”
that was attended by12 people. The workshop was wellreceived and very educational.
