CAPÍTULO 6 PANDUIT
ESTÁNDARES DEL CABLEADO
7. CSMA / CD: multiple access with carrier sense and collision detection
(CSMA / CD, Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Detection). It is
a technique used in Ethernet networks to improve their performance.
18. SCTP: (shielded twisted pair cable) has a single shield, usually a plate,
which protects all pairs of cable.
38. FRICTION: Deviation of light. Occurs when the light is with substances
such as air, water and glass.
40. UTP: unshielded twisted pair. Type of cabling used mainly for
communications and data networks.
43. WIRING AND CODES: Codes are designed to provide only minimum
safety requirements to perform tasks.
44. Polar: is to distinguish each of the terminals of a battery, battery or other
DC electrical machines. Each of these terminals called poles can be
positive or negative.
47. ACCESS POINT (AP): has the functions of a bridge (connecting two
levels of link networks with similar or different), and carries out both the
relevant frame conversions.
48. LOCAL CODES: always take priority over local state codes, which in turn
take precedence over national codes.
