TRAFFIC ADVISORY
CLOSURE OF HOLMES ROAD BETWEEN WAVERLY ROAD AND PLEASANT
GROVE ROAD FOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION

The City of Lansing Department of Planning and Neighborhood Development announces that
beginning Monday, June 14, 2010, Holmes Road between Waverly Road and Pleasant
Grove Road will be CLOSED TO THROUGH TRAFFIC.

This closure is being implemented to allow for road construction and is expected to remain in
effect until early September 2010.

The following detours will be posted:

Posted detour for westbound Holmes Road traffic: Will need to travel North (right) on
Pleasant Grove Road to Mt. Hope Avenue; then west (left) on Mt. Hope Avenue; continue as Mt.
Hope Avenue becomes Moores River Drive; Then south (left) on Waverly Road to return to
Holmes Road.

Posted detour for eastbound Holmes Road traffic: Will need to travel North on Waverly
Road to Moores River Drive; then northeast (right) on Moores River Drive continuing to the east
(right) where Moores River Driver merges with Mt. Hope Avenue; follow Mt. Hope Avenue to
Pleasant Grove Road; then south (right) on Pleasant Grove Road to return to Holmes Road.

Access to businesses adjacent the construction zone will be maintained. Motorists are advised
to expect delays and seek alternate routes whenever possible.
