The sulphur waters of Vienna’s Oberlaa
spa, for example, are a great remedy for
rheumatism and skin diseases.
The spring of Bad Sauerbrunn in Burgen-
land is very rich in magnesium – known
as a great helper for joint and kidney
diseases. And for more than 170 years

components have a stimulating effect on
the connective tissue and the nervous
system; and moreover, a hay bath smells

wonderfully, given the numerous inherent
healing herbs. The brewery at Trachten-
berg Castle even offers beer baths –
yeast is known to have a favourable
effect on skin and hair. And the Vino-
therapy at the Loisium in Lower Austria
applies the natural healing powers of
grapes in different ways: from bathing in
fresh grapes to body peeling with herb
seeds.
Ancient knowledge of the power
of Nature in combination with new
discoveries and state-of-the-art comfort

This initiative launched in the Saalach

T he idyllic community of Senftenberg is located in the lower Krems

Valley, 8 kilometres north of Krems on the Danube, embedded among
