Description of duties:

Under the general supervision of the WR and overall supervision and guidance of MO-EPI,the incumbent in closed coordination with Data Manage provides the following generalsupport;1) Data input and compilation of data from provinces and laboratory for AFP, andintegrated Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD;.2) Validate and crosscheck the data for accuracy.3) Maintain and organize AFP, Measles, and NT data storage4) Prepare analyses, report and other necessary documents, as needed by WHO EPI,Surveillance Unit, Expert Committee, and National Certification Committee.5) Assist the province and laboratory staff's in maintaining and installing required dataprogrammes and software.6) Assist Data Manager on programming the software for AFP, and integratedsurveillance. Act as Data Manager in his/her absence.7) Take all precautions and measures to safeguard the safety and integrity of dataEnsure that surveillance/immunization data is properly backed-up including onSERVER, and the database computers are updated with the recent anti-virussoftware/definition to limit the risk of loss;8) Other duties as assigned by Medical Officer WHO/EPI.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation:Essential

: Secondary School Certificate in related field. Training in data information and GISapplications is highly desirable.

Functional Skills and Knowledge:

1) knowledge of data base system, image processing, mapping, web technology, geographicinformation and related matters;2) Ability to work in harmony with national/international staff of WHO and Ministry of Health;3) Ability to prepare presentations

Experience:Essential

: At least 3 years experience in the field of data management.
