Dala'il al-Khayratby Abu 'Abdullah Muhammad Ibn Sulayman ibn Abi Bakr al-Jazuli al-Simlali(d. 870/1465) In the Name of Allah, the All-Merciful, Most Merciful[This translation is of the Moroccan edition of the Dala'il al-Khayrat] The Beginning of the Dala'il al-KhayratPraise belongs to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. Allah is enough for me and thebest Protector. There is no power nor strength except by Allah, the High, the Immense. O Allah, I am free myself of my power and strength in favour of Your power and Your strength. I draw near to you by the prayer on our maser Muhammad, your slave, Prophet and Messenger, the Master of the Messengers, may Allah Almightybless him and grant him and all of them peace, in obedience to Your command, affirming him, loving him, yearning for him and respecting his worth and the factthat he, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, is worthy of that. Accept it from us by Your grace and make me one of Your righteous slaves. Give me success in reading it always by his rank with You. May Allah bless our master Muhammad and his family and all his Companions.I ask forgiveness of Allah, the Immense. (3 times)Glory be to Allah and praise belong to Allah (3 times)Allah is enough for me and the best Guardian. (3 times)Then you recite:I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Shaytan.In the Name of Allah, the All-Merciful, Most MercifulSurat al-Ikhlas (3 times):1 Say: He is Allah, Absolute Oneness.2 Allah the Everlasting Sustainer of all.3 He has not given birth and was not born.4 And no one is comparable to Him.The two final suras of protection:In the name of Allah, All-Merciful, Most Merciful1 Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of Daybreak,2 from the evil of what He has created3 and from the evil of the darkness when it gathers4 and from the evil of women who blow on knots5 and from the evil of an envier when he envies.In the name of Allah, All-Merciful, Most Merciful1 Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind,2 the King of mankind,3 the God of mankind,4 from the evil of the insidious whisperer5 who whispers in people's breasts6 and comes from the jinn and mankind.The Fatiha:In the name of Allah, All Merciful, Most MercifulPraise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds,the All Merciful, the Most Mercifulthe King of the Day of Judgement.You alone we worshipTo You alone we turn for help.Guide us on the Straight Path,the Path of those whom You have blessed,not of those with anger on them,nor of the misguided.1 ALIF. LAM. MIM.That is the Book with no doubt.There is guidance in it for the godfearing:2 those who believe in the Unseen and establish the prayerand give of what We have provided for them;
 
3 who believe in what has been sent down to youand what was sent down before you,and are certain of the Next World.4 They are the people guided by their Lord.They are the successful.Then one recites the Most Beautiful Names:Allah, may He be exalted!The All-Merciful, may He be exalted!The Most Merciful, may He be exaltedThe King, may He be exaltedThe All-Pure, may He be exaltedThe Peace, may He be exaltedThe Faithful, may He be exaltedThe Preserver, may He be exaltedThe Almighty, may He be exaltedThe Compeller, may He be exaltedThe Proud, may He be exaltedThe Creator, may He be exaltedThe Maker, may He be exaltedThe Fashioner, may He be exaltedThe Pardoning, may He be exaltedThe All-Victorious, may He be exaltedThe Giver, may He be exaltedThe Provider, may He be exaltedThe Opener, may He be exaltedThe All-Knowing, may He be exaltedThe Withholder, may He be exaltedThe Expander, may He be exaltedThe Exalter, may He be exaltedThe Honourer, may He be exaltedThe Humbler, may He be exaltedThe All-Hearing, may He be exaltedThe All-Seeing, may He be exaltedThe Judge, may He be exaltedThe Just, may He be exaltedThe Subtle (Latif), may He be exaltedThe All-Aware, may He be exaltedThe Forbearing, may He be exaltedThe Immense, may He be exaltedThe Forgiving, may He be exaltedThe Thankful, may He be exaltedThe High, may He be exaltedThe Great, may He be exaltedThe Guardian, may He be exaltedThe Well-Furnished, may He be exaltedThe Reckoner, may He be exaltedThe Majestic, may He be exaltedThe Generous, may He be exaltedThe Watcher, may He be exaltedThe Answerer, may He be exaltedThe Vast, may He be exaltedThe Wise, may He be exaltedThe Loving, may He be exaltedThe Glorious, may He be exaltedThe Quickener, may He be exaltedThe Witness, may He be exaltedThe Truth, may He be exaltedThe Protector, may He be exaltedThe Strong, may He be exaltedThe Firm, may He be exalted
 
The Patron, may He be exaltedThe Praiseworthy, may He be exaltedThe Counter, may He be exaltedThe Originator, may He be exaltedThe Returner, may He be exaltedThe Reviver, may He be exaltedThe One who makes to die, may He be exaltedThe Living, may He be exaltedThe Self-Sustaining, may He be exaltedThe Finder, may He be exaltedThe Noble, may He be exaltedThe One, may He be exaltedThe Unique, may He be exaltedThe Eternal, may He be exaltedThe All-Powerful, may He be exaltedThe Prevailing, may He be exaltedThe Advancer, may He be exaltedThe Deferrer, may He be exaltedThe First, may He be exaltedThe Last, may He be exaltedThe Outward, may He be exaltedThe Inward, may He be exaltedThe Safeguard, may He be exaltedThe Self-Exalted, may He be exaltedThe Benign, may He be exaltedThe Relenting, may He be exaltedThe Avenger, may He be exaltedThe Pardoner, may He be exaltedThe Compassionate, may He be exaltedThe Possessor of the Kingdom, may He be exaltedLord of Majesty and Honour, may He be exaltedThe Equitable, may He be exaltedThe Gatherer, may He be exaltedThe Rich, may He be exaltedThe Enricher, may He be exaltedThe Bestower, may He be exaltedThe Shield, may He be exaltedThe Afflicter, may He be exaltedThe Benefactor, may He be exaltedThe Light, may He be exaltedThe Guide, may He be exaltedThe Contriver, may He be exaltedThe Lasting, may He be exaltedThe Heir, may He be exaltedThe Guide to the Right Path, may He be exaltedThe Patient, may He be exalted.His Essence is pure above any likeness and His Attributes are exalted beyond anyresemblance to something similar. He is One, not in fewness, and Exists, not from a cause. He is known for kindness and described with going the best, and thisdescription is without end. He is First without beginning and Last without end.Sons are not ascribed to Him. The passage of moments does not exhaust Him nor does the years weakened Him. All creatures are subject to His immensity. His command is the kaf and nun [Be!]. The sincere are familiar with His dhikr and the eyes delight in His vision. The unifiers delight in His tawhid. He guided the people who obey Him to a straight path and He allowed the people of His love to havethe Gardens of Bliss.He knows the number of the breaths of His creatures by His pre-eternal knowledge. He sees the movements of the feet of ants in the dark night. The birds glorifyHim in their nests and wild animals celebrate His glory in the wilderness. He has full knowledge of the actions of His slave, both in secret and public. He gua
