If you have a bigger RAM, you can change value from 6400000 to more.
One more option is, remove your ram and clean the metal portion (which part is going
inside slot) with normal pencil rubber and install it again.
Talking PDF
There is a facility, where we can listen to any PDF document instead of reading.
Yes, with Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 or above we can.
Ctrl+Shift+B to listen the full document (View-> Read out Loud -> Read to the End of
Document)
Ctrl+Shift+V to listen current page (View -> Read out Loud ->Read This Page)
Ctrl+Shift+E to Stop Speech (View -> Read out Loud -> Stop)
But the voice is very fast, if it is not convenient to hear, we can adjust it by changing
Voice Speed -> Slow Adjustment in Control Panel -> Speech.

You can add your name or anything you like that consists of 8 characters or less. This
will replace the AM or PM next to the system time. But you can corrupt some trial
licenses of software that you may have downloaded.
1. Open RegEdit
2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International
3. Add two new String values, "s1159" and "s2359"
4. Right click the new value name and modify. Enter anything you like up to 8 characters.
If you enter two different values when modifying, you can have the system tray display
the two different values in the AM and PM.
When you shut down Windows, if you have any programs running you'll get a message
box warning you that a program is still running. You then have to close the program and
tell XP again to shut down. It's a fairly pointless warning—better yet would be if XP
automatically killed the programs without issuing the warning. That way, you wouldn't
get error messages and wouldn't have to close each individual application before shutting
down your computer.
To have XP automatically close programs at shutdown, run the Registry Editor and go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop. Edit the AutoEndTasks key so that is
has a value of 1. If the key doesn't exist, create it as a DWORD value and give it the
value of 1. To disable it, either delete the key, or set the value to 0.
Required:
Now it should all load, and fix all your corrupted file on win XP
1. Click the Start menu and select Run. Then type regedit in the box and click OK. This
will start up the Registry Editor.
2. Once the Registry Editor has loaded, you will want to expand HKEY_USERS,
.DEFAULT, Control Panel, and the Desktop key. Next, you should see all of the different
entries for desktop properties. The entries that you will be interested in are Wallpaper
and WallpaperStyle.
3. Right-click the Wallpaper entry and select Modify. Then type in the full path to the
image that you want to use on your computer. Let’s assume that you want to set the nice
grassy hills photo as your background. This file is located at C:\WINDOWS\Web\
Wallpaper. The name of the file is bliss.bmp. Therefore, the full path of the image
file is C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper\bliss.bmp.
4. Once you have the path to the file set, you can click the OK button to save the change.
Now you can change the WallpaperStyle entry if you want to change how the wallpaper
will be displayed. You have three different options: 0 centered, 1 tiled, 2 stretched to
full screen. If you want to change the way it is displayed, just right-click the
WallpaperStyle entry and select Modify, then enter the corresponding number value for
the style you want to use. Click OK to save, and you are finished!

Open with
When rightclicking any file you´re likely to see an option called "open with", which lists
any available program on you computer to open the file with. To simply clear up this list
of unwanted items, or to remove useless associations, like opening an mp3 file with a
paint program, follow these steps:
- Click on the start button, click on Run... and type the word "regedit" (without the
quotes) in the box that appears to open the registry editor
- Navigate to
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\File
Exts"
- Find the extention you wish to edit and click on the "+"-sign to locate the key that says
"OpenWithList"
- In the right pane of the registry editor you´ll see a list with the programs in the list, like
"paint.exe" or "notepad.exe"
- Simple click on the one you wish to delete and press the delete button on your keyboard
Don´t worry if you´ve removed an entry you rather hadn´t removed. When rightclicking a
file there will be another option in the "open with" extension where you can choose any
program on your computer. Once used, it will reappear in the list of associated programs.
Faster Application Access ever
Have you ever wanted to have your program shortcuts withing a clicks reach without
crowding the desktop? And do you have to many apps to pin them all to the start menu?
If so, then this might be a solution for you aswell.
1) Create a new folder anywhere you like and name it "Progz", "Gamez" or "Music"
according to your will and pleasure.
2) Place shortcuts of the stuff you need into this folder.
3) Right-click on the windows tastbar and select "toolbars" and "New toolbar". Then you
simply refer to your "Progz" folder.
And there you have it... all your applications within a clicks reach.... and a clean desktop
aswell. I have my menues minimized, so I only see the names of the categories or folders,
and then locked the taskbar, making room for the active applications to be shown.
Adding new items to the toolbar is done simply by copying or creating shortcuts into the
original folder, then your menu updates itself.
This can also be a good way of organizing applications into different categories... you
just make seperate toolbars

If one doesn't already exist, create a new KEY called "DriveIcons". Under this key, create
a new key with the letter of your drive.
I.e. C for your C:\ drive.
To change the icon for that drive, create a key inside that one called DefaultIcon and set
the path of (Default) to the location of your icon
eg C\DefaultIcon\
then (Default) = D:\Documents\C Drive Icon.ico
To change the name of that drive, create a key in the drive letter one (eg C\) called
DefaultLabel and set the (Default) to what you want the drive to be called.
This is useful if you want to assign a long name to the floppy drive.
Safe mode is required when you have to fix a problem such as virus infection or
uninstalling drivers in your windows XP. generally we need to use F8 Key to get into
safe mode and if not timed properly you will need to restart windows xp again. Here is a
small trick which lets you add Safe mode by default into your Boot list. You will see it
when you restart your windows xp machine.
Steps to Add Safe Mode in Boot list
Thats it, restart your machine and you will see another label as “XP- Safe Mode” added
to the list.
Do u get irritated when acrobat reader takes 5/10 seconds to load when you want to open
a pdf document. There is a way to speed up the loading.
2. Move all the files and folders from the "plugins" directory to the "Optional" directory.
(I repeat.. cut and paste the files NOT copy & paste).
Also make sure that acrobat reader is not open else it will lock the files and not allow you
to move the files).
Steps
1] Browse C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
2] Find the file named "HOSTS"
3] Open it in notepad
4] Under "127.0.0.1 localhost" Add 127.0.0.2 www.orkut.com , and that site will no
longer be accessable.
5] Done!
example :
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.2 www.orkut.com
For every site after that you want to add, just add "1" to the last number in the internal ip
(127.0.0.2) and then the addy like before.
IE:
127.0.0.3 www.yahoo.com
127.0.0.4 www.msn.com
127.0.0.5 www.google.com
This also works with banner sites, just find the host name of the server with the banners
and do the same thing with that addy.
Well here's the trick which you can use to prove that Windows XP is not at all secure as
multi-user operating system.
Hacking the system registry from any account having access to system registry puts you
in to the administrator account.

Well, did you know you could hide your files in a JPEG file? For this, you will only need
to download WinRAR. You just need to have a little knowledge about Command Prompt
and have WinRAR installed.
STEPS : -
1. Gather all the files that you wish to hide in a folder anywhere in your PC (make it in
C:\hidden (RECOMMENDED).
2. Now, add those files in a RAR archive (e.g. partha.rar). This file should also be in the
same directory (C:\hidden).
3. Now, look for a simple JPEG picture file (e.g. cyber.jpg). Copy/Paste that file also in
C:\hidden.
4. Now, open Command Prompt (Go to Run and type ‘cmd‘). Make your working
directory C:\hidden.
5. Now type: “COPY /b cyber.jpg + partha.rar output.jpg” (without quotes) - Now,
cyber.jpg is the picture you want to show, partha.rar is the file to be hidden, and
output.jpg is the file which contains both.
6. Now, after you have done this, you will see a file output.jpg in C:\hidden. Open it
(double-click) and it will show the picture you wanted to show. Now try opening the
same file with WinRAR, it will show the hidden archive .

When you choose a wallpaper using the standard method (selecting a background on the
desktop tab, in the properties window),
Windows converts this image to a huge .bmp file (even if you selected a .jpg).
Then instead of having a nice 220K wallpaper, you get a 3,15MB wallpaper. To get rid of
this,
try using active desktop's web capabilities, like this:
1. Right click on your desktop and select "properties", then select the "desktop" tab.
2. Click on "Customize Desktop".
3. Select the "Web" tab and click on "New..."
4. Browse for your favorite image and click OK when you are done.
5. Make sure "Lock desktop items" is uncheck.
6. Click OK, and OK again.
7. Now your image is like another window. Drag it to where you want and then right clik
over it.
8. Select "arrange icons by" and the check "Lock Web Items on Desktop".
9. That's it. Now you have a "low memory usage wallpaper".
With this you can make interesting things, like using various small wallpapers,
or even animated ones!! (you can select an animated .gif too!!). Simply select various
images,
and when you click OK, drag all them to its right location, and lock the content again.
PS: If you want to check the huge wallpaper windows makes, select a wallpaper the
standard way,
then browse to "C:\Documents and Settings\USER PROFILE\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft" (where USER PROFILE,
is the profile you're using, i.e. Administrator). There should be a file called
Wallpaper.bmp,
open it and you'll see your cureent wallpaper.
It's not only startup times that you'd like to speed up; you can also make sure that your
system shuts down faster. If shutting down XP takes what seems to be an inordinate
amount of time, here are a couple of steps you can take to speed up the shutdown process:
Don't have XP clear your paging file at shutdown
For security reasons, you can have XP clear your paging file (pagefile.sys) of its contents
whenever you shut down. Your paging file is used to store temporary files and data, but
when your system shuts down, information stays in the file. Some people prefer to have
the paging file cleared at shutdown, because sensitive information such as unencrypted
passwords sometimes ends up in the file. However, clearing the paging file can slow
shutdown times significantly, so if extreme security isn't a high priority, you might not
want to clear it. To shut down XP without clearing your paging file, run the Registry
Editor and go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session
Manager\Memory Management
Change the value of ClearPageFileAtShutdown to 0. Close the Registry and restart your
computer. Whenever you turn off XP from now on, the paging file won't be cleared, and
you should be able to shut down more quickly.
Performance
Keep high preformance and keep the GUI
To increase system performance and keep the GUI:
You may have noticed that every time you open “My Computer” to
browse folders that there is a slight delay. This is because Windows
XP automatically searches for network files and printers every time
you open Windows Explorer. To fix this and to increase browsing
speed significantly:
1. Double-click on My Computer
2. Click the Tools menu
3. Select Folder Options
4. Click on the View tab.
5. Uncheck the Automatically search for network folders and
printers check box
6. Click Apply
7. Click OK
8. Reboot your computer
Page file size is not constant by default. Due to this, the operating
system has to resize the file each time more space is required. This
is a performance overhead. All you have to do is to set the file size to
a reasonable limit.
This is how you can create a Administrator Account in Windows 7 using Command
Prompt
Note* : You should have a Administrator privilages
if you want to apply the password for that account type the following command in
command prompt
"net user user_name password "
without quotes where user_name will be the user name of the account and password will
be the password for that account.
This is a simple batch file. It’s used prevent the computer from getting the pendrive virus.
It’s a prevention method; not a disinfection method.
But disinfect your pen drive alone.
First the virus is disinfected, then opening the pen drive using explorer. It’s always good
idea to open the content after deleting the virus.
As a hacker one should capable of removing the virus manually. Not using the Anti Virus
tools.
Do you think it’s easy to delete the virus just by delete key. Even you deleted it SOME
VIRUS MAY NOT DELETE. Some virus are WRITE PROTECTED.
so use this given below commands
use effective and simple way people. This also erases the “write-protected” virus. ]
By default in Windows 7 the Administrator Account is been disabled for some security
reasons.
you can enable it from command prompt.
Goto run type cmd and press enter
just type the following command in command prompt.
"net user administrator /active:yes" without quotes .
you will get the message saying Command Completed successfully
That's it your done
just switch the user and you will find the two accounts one is yours and the other is
administrator.
Enjoy :)
Doing this u r able for prompt for stand by, turn-off, restart by writing a small java script

Dont ever get banned from adsense if you have clicked your ads,by mistake…follow this
technique
The way I keep this from happening is I temporarily block the domain name Google’s
ads are served from.
First, find your HOSTS file which depends on which os you are using.
Open Notepad or any text editor. Go to File, and Choose Open.
Once you’re there, open the file called “hosts”.If you don’t see anything listed just type
the word hosts and the file should open up.Just the word “hosts”, no extension or
anything after that. It’s probably blank but it might not be.
Add this line:
127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com
And save.
You’re done.
Now go back to a site that you know has some Google Ads.There should be an empty
space where the ads appeared.
What’s that do? It basically says “ignore this line.” I like to leave it like that so when I
want to hide Google Ads again, all I have to do is remove the “#” sign and save –
then put the “#” back in when I’m ready to go back to normal.
To me, making a quick change in your HOSTS file to turn AdSense on and off is easier
than fiddling around with a firewall program.
Hope this helps.
Files that use the 8.3 naming convention can degrade NTFS drive performance. Unless
you have a good reason for keeping the 8.3 naming convention intact (such as if you're
using 16-bit programs), a performance gain can be achieved by disabling it:
hey guys u might have learned the trick to lock folders by creating two batch files.
But this trick is slightly modified so that u can even assign a password
Menu Speed:
When XP first appeared, there was a lot of conversation about the new interface, both
good and bad. In spite of the initial complaints, most users stick with the default settings
rather than reverting to the Classic interface found in previous Windows versions. But
you may want to change the delay you notice when you click on the Start Menu. I see no
reason for there to be any delay when I click on the Start Menu. Effects are pretty, but I
wouldn't click on it if I didn't have business inside, so let's get it open and get moving.
The default speed can be adjusted with a quick Registry hack.
Window XP sorts files in an ascending order which have digits in their file name.
Like document ‘ajay151.doc’ listed after ajay15.doc and ajay16.doc.
But if you want to arrange them like this ajay15.doc, ajay151.doc, ajay16.doc,
ajay161.doc then you has to set registry, after that OS will access all characters as
alphabets.
Procedure:-
1)Open the Registry Editor and navigate the key.

Many Computer users don’t know about the power management system of window xp
that lets us configure the system power button.
By default when we press the power button system get shut down.
If we are doing our job on computer and by mistake we or someone else (may be child)
press the power button, will close all the application and computer itself.
Now there is no chance to stop your PC from shutting down. So window xp power
management system gives us a facility to get relief by accidental key press incident.
Now it should all load, and fix all your corrupted file on win XP

Do you have any program or folder which you need to access many times? Follow these
steps to speed it up.
INSTANT PROPERTIES
If you have a mouse with a scroll wheel on it, you can do some cool tricks.......
Ever wonder what happens when you hold down the Shift key on a web page and spin the
wheel on your wheel mouse? Explorer goes either back or forward, depending on which
direction you spin.
Give it a try. Open up Internet Explorer(or any other browser) and follow a few links.
Then, hold down your SHIFT key and spin that wheel.
If you are in a web browser (Explorer or Netscape or Firefox) , hold down your Ctrl key
and spin the wheel. It makes the text larger or smaller depending on which way you spin.
For Opera users, it magnifies both the images and the text.
Do the following :
1. Open the CPU
2. Now, observe the motherboard.
3. You notice a coin like silver Battery(3V).
This battery is 24 x 7 power supply for the BIOS, which is used to run the system clock
will the main power is off. It also initiates the booting process when power is switched
on.
4. Remove the battery from the motherboard.
(It is safe to remove the Battery)
5. Wait 30 seconds and place the battery back on the motherboard.
6. Now, when you start your system you won't be prompted for the BIOS password.
ENJOY
Often we find that when trying to delete a file, windows replies that XP can not be
removed because the file is being used by another program.
To solve this problem open a command prompt window (Start - Run - cmd)
And leave it open now close any programs you have open
Press ctrl + alt + del to open task manager and go to process. finish the process
"explorer.exe", and close task manager.
We return to the command prompt window and browse to the folder where the file you
want to eliminate or delete (file which was not getting deleted) and write:
The filename then open task manager, File> New task and typed "explorer.exe" (without
quotation marks) to reset the desktop. And we can close the task manager and the
command window.
Steps
1] Browse C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
2] Find the file named "HOSTS"
3] Open it in notepad
4] Under "127.0.0.1 localhost" Add 127.0.0.2 www.orkut.com , and that site will no
longer be accessable.
5] Done!
example :
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.2 www.orkut.com
- www.orkut.com is now unaccessable
For every site after that you want to add, just add "1" to the last number in the internal ip
(127.0.0.2) and then the addy like before.
IE:
127.0.0.3 www.yahoo.com
127.0.0.4 www.msn.com
127.0.0.5 www.google.com
This also works with banner sites, just find the host name of the server with the banners
and do the same thing with that addy.
SPEED UP UR ACROBAT READER
Do u get irritated when acrobat reader takes 5/10 seconds to load when you want to open
a pdf document. There is a way to speed up the loading.
1. Go to the installation folder of acrobat reader
(C:\program files\adobe\acrobat\reader\.. whatever)
2. Move all the files and folders from the "plugins" directory to the "Optional" directory.
(I repeat.. cut and paste the files NOT copy & paste).
Also make sure that acrobat reader is not open else it will lock the files and not allow you
to move the files).
Now your acrobat reader will load very fast
and almost as good as notepad..

2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlset\Services\USBStor
3. In the right pane, look for value Start and have value as 0000000(3)
4. Double click on that and change that value to 4.
You might be required to restart the PC, and then you are done with it, USB is now
