This document is an SEC announcement of a new inititiative to fundamentally rethink the way regulated entities report information and the way investors acquire the reported information. Chairman of the SEC Christopher Cox has appointed William Lutz, a Securities Lawyer and professor of English at Rutgers University, who is also acknowledged as an expert on disclosure and transparency to spearhead the effort. It seems that this study will impact disclosure and transparency provided by public companies, mutual funds, investment advisors for hire, broker dealers and all regulated investment entities.
