BARBARA BOXER ABORTION AD OUT OF TOUCH WITH
LATINOS
“Latinos won’t be scared into voting for a candidate who doesn’t share their pro-life
values,” says Latino Partnership’s Alfonso Aguilar.
Washington, DC – Amidst sagging poll numbers, Senator Barbara Boxer’s campaign recently released
a web ad claiming that Carly Fiorina would “make abortion a crime,” despite the fact that Latino voters,
who represent the margin of victory, do not agree with Boxer’s extreme abortion agenda.

“Bottom line – Boxer does not get it,” said Alfonso Aguilar, executive director of the Latino Partnership
for Conservative Principles. The Latino Partnership recently launched a $1 million campaign
encouraging Latinos in California to “Vote Your Values” and support Senate candidate Carly Fiorina.

“Latinos are pro-life and Fiorina proudly shares those values,” Aguilar continued. “Sarah Palin, when talking about her endorsement of Carly Fiorina, said pro-lifers know they can support Fiorina because we ‘get it’ - we get that Fiorina will represent our pro-life values. Latinos get it as well. Barbara Boxer doesn’t.”

Aguilar concluded, “Boxer is feeling the heat from a real conservative challenger. Her use of scare
tactics will only backfire, further convincing Latinos that Fiorina is the right choice – good for life, good
for Latino values, and good for California.”

The Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles, an initiative of the American Principles Project, promotes conservative values and ideals within the Latino community and works to integrate Latinos into fuller and more active participation and leadership in the conservative movement.
