4. BUCLES: Es una sentencia que se realiza repetidas veces a un trozo aislado de código,
hasta que la condición asignada a dicho bucle deje de cumplirse.
5. FRICCIÓN: Se define como fuerza de rozamiento o fuerza de fricción entre dos superficies
en contacto a la fuerza que se opone al movimiento de una superficie sobre la otra (fuerza
de fricción dinámica) o a la fuerza que se opone al inicio del movimiento (fuerza de fricción
estática).
6. PBX: Es cualquier central telefónica conectada directamente a la red pública de teléfono por
medio de líneas troncales para gestionar, además de las llamadas internas, las entrantes y
salientes con autonomía sobre cualquier otra central telefónica.
10. TMGB: Barra principal de tierra, ubicada en las “facilidades de entrada”, es la que se
conecta a la tierra del edificio.
12. TGB: Esta es la barra de tierra ubicada en la sala de equipos. Su función es de punto central
de conexión de tierra de los equipos de la sala.
13. TBB: Telecomunicaciones eje de unión. Es un conductor de cobre usado para conectar la
barra principal de tierra de telecomunicaciones (TMBG) con las barras de tierra de los
armarios de telecomunicaciones y las salas de equipos.
14. TR: Es un área dentro de un edificio que aloja los equipos del sistema de cableado de
telecomunicaciones.
15. POP: Conexión de acceso telefónico de los proveedores de servicios de Internet para
usuarios de módem, que se utiliza principalmente para describir conexiones locales, de
forma que los usuarios no tengan que hacer llamadas de larga distancia.
16. HVAC: sigla en inglés correspondiente a los términos Calefacción, Ventilación y Aire
acondicionado; sistema de calefacción y refrigeración de una vivienda.
18. MC: conocido como Conexión Cruzada Principal. se utilizan para introducir servicios al
sistema de distribución conectando cables de los proveedores de servicios al sistema de
cableado backbone.
19. CABLE ROLLOVER: También conocido como cable de consola Cisco, es un tipo de null-
modem de cable que se usa más comúnmente para conectar un terminal de ordenador a un
router de la consola de puerto.
20. CD: Distribuidor del Campus. Es el elemento del que parten los distintos cables que
conforman el Cableado de Campus.
21. BD: Distribuidor de Edificio. Elemento que sirve para interconectar el cableado Distribuidor
de Campus con el Cable Distribuidor de Edificio.
22. FD: Distribuidor de Planta. Elemento que sirve para efectuar la interconexión entre el
Cableado Horizontal y el Cableado Vertical.
23. JUMPERS: Conectores que unen dos contactos. Se utilizan para configurar manualmente
algunos componentes, como discos, CD-ROM, Tarjetas o placas.
26. SALA DE EQUIPAMIENTO: Es una sala similar que puede existir en redes de mayor
tamaño o en compañías que se especializan en telecomunicaciones.
27. ÁREA DE TRABAJO: Se usa para describir el área a la que le brinda servicio una
determinada sala de telecomunicaciones.
28. BASTIDOR: Es un Rack, armazón o armario en metal para soportar equipos electrónicos de
informática.
30. IC: Conexiones cruzadas intermedias. Conectan los servicios desde los segmentos de
cableado backbone de las MC a otros segmentos de cableado backbone.
31. HC: Las conexiones cruzadas horizontales se utilizan para conectar servicios a los tomas de
la estación de trabajo a través del cableado horizontal.
33. TCO: es un método de calculo diseñado para ayudar a los usuarios y a los gestores
empresariales a determinar los costes directos e indirectos, así como los beneficios,
relacionados con la compra de equipos o programas informáticos.
36. PoE: La alimentación a través de Ethernet es una tecnología que incorpora alimentación
eléctrica a una infraestructura LAN estándar.
37. CONEXIÓN A TIERRA: Se emplea en las instalaciones eléctricas para evitar el paso de
corriente al usuario por un fallo del aislamiento de los conductores activos.
44. CABLES DE CONEXIÓN: Los cables de conexión también se utilizan para conectar
equipamiento de red a las conexiones cruzadas en la sala de telecomunicaciones.
45. CABLES CRUZADOS: Un cable cruzado se puede usar como circuito de unión o cable
backbone para conectar dos o más hubs o switches a una LAN, o para conectar dos
estaciones de trabajo aisladas para crear una mini LAN.
48. CP: Los puntos de consolidación (CP), es un panel que proporcionan una función parecida
a los MUTO, pero generalmente el acceso al punto de consolidación es limitado.
50. CABLE MULTIPAR: El cable multipar es aquel formado por un elevado número de pares de
cobre, generalmente múltiplo de 25.
51. CÓDIGO DE ELECTRICIDAD: Tiene la función de proteger a las personas de peligros ocultos a los
que pueden estar expuestas por cableado u otro trabajo.
52. IEEE: Es una asociación profesional técnica sin ánimo de lucro (no tienen como consecuencia un
beneficio económico), es una autoridad líder en áreas técnicas que van desde la ingeniería
informática, la tecnología biomédica y las telecomunicaciones hasta la energía eléctrica, el
aeroespacial y la electrónica del consumidor.
53. CÓDIGOS ESTATALES: Los códigos de construcción, los códigos de incendio y los códigos
eléctricos requieren inspección y cumplimiento. El incumplimiento de las normas ha llevado a
establecer estándares nacionales.
54. CÓDIGOS LOCALES: Un proyecto dentro de la ciudad estaría controlado por las agencias
adecuadas de ésta, mientras que aquellos fuera de la ciudad estarían controlados por agencias
provinciales.

7. ANSI: Institute national American of standards. is a non-profit that oversees the development
of standards for products, services, processes and systems in the United States.
8. TIA: Industry Association of Telecommunications. Develop standards for optical fiber, the
user terminal equipment, network equipment, and wireless and satellite communications.
9. EIA: Is a standards organization in the field’s electrical, electronic and related technologies.
Many standards are developed in conjunction with the ISO (ISO / IEC).
10. TMGB: Telecommunications main grounding main earth bar, located in the "ease of entry",
which is connected to the building ground.
12. TGB: This is the ground bar located in the equipment room. Its function is the central point of
grounding of equipment in the room.
13. TBB: Telecommunications Union axis. Is copper used driver for connecting main land of
telecommunications (TMBG) with land of telecommunication cabinets and rooms equipment
bars.
14. TR: An area within a building that houses the computers in the telecommunications cabling
system.
15. POP: Dial-up connection from Internet service providers for modem users, which is mainly
used to describe local connections, so that users do not have to make long distance calls.

20. CD: Distributor of Campus. It is the element that leave the individual wires forming the wiring
Campus.
21. BD: Building Distributor. Element that serves to connect the wiring distributor with Cable
Distributor Campus Building.
22. FD: Distributor of plant. Element that serves to make the interconnection between the
horizontal cabling and wiring vertical.
23. JUMPERS: Connectors that connect two contacts. Used to manually configure some
components, such as disks, CD-ROM, cards or badges.
25. ISO: International Organization for Standardization. Is the body responsible for promoting the
development of international manufacturing, trade and communication for all industrial
sectors except for electricity and electronic.
26. EQUIPMENT ROOM: It is a similar room that can exist in bigger networks or companies that
specialize in telecommunications.
27. WORK AREA: Is used to describe the area to which gives you service a particular room of
telecommunications.
29. STRUCTURED CABLING: It consists in the laying of cables inside a building with a view to
introducing a local area network.
30. IC: Intermediate cross doe. Connecting services from the wired backbone segments of the
MC to other segments of backbone cabling.
31. HC: Horizontal cross-connections are used to connect services to take from the workstation
through the horizontal cabling.
33. TCO: Is a calculation designed to help users and business managers to determine the direct
and indirect costs and benefits, related to purchase of equipment or software.
34. DEMARCATION: Is the point at which the external wiring is connected to the backbone
cabling within the building.
35. JACK: Audio connector is used in many devices for transmission of sound in analog format.
36. POE: Power over Ethernet is a technology that incorporates power to a standard LAN
infrastructure.
37. GROUND: Used in electrical installations to prevent the passage of current from the user by
an insulation breakdown of the active conductors.
38. PLENUMS: Are pressures slightly above atmospheric, generally within the air or gas systems
as a result of the action of a fan or blower.
39. HORIZONTAL CABLING: All cables are concentrated in the so-called cabinet of plant or
telecommunications closet.
40. WIRING DENSITY: Refers to the number of cables that come in a telecommunications room.
41. EF: Is the point at which the cables outside the building through the wall or go to the
basement.
43. CONNECTION CABLES: The connection cables are also used to connect network
equipment cross-connects in the telecommunications room.
44. CROSSED WIRES: A crossover cable can be used as trunking or backbone cable to connect
two or more hubs or switches to a LAN, or to connect two remote workstations to create a
mini LAN.
45. WIRELLES: Cable to connect two or more hubs or switches to a LAN, or to connect two

46. DIRECT CONNECT CABLES: A direct connection cable maps the cable to the same pins on
both ends. If used between hubs or switches, and a workstation is considered part of the
horizontal cabling system.
