Tree Power is a public benefit program that offers electric

customers a rebate for planting selected shade trees in
certain locations around their home to help save on summer
cooling costs.

Planting shade trees around your property can reduce the amount
of energy you will use for cooling in the summer, yet they shed their
leaves to let in the sun's warming rays in winter.

Estimates are that well-placed trees around a structure can reduce

air conditioning or cooling costs by as much as 20 percent. In
addition to their energy saving benefits, trees serve a variety of
worthwhile functions:

• Save energy
• Clean the air
• Reduce noise
• Provide privacy
• Prevent soil erosion
• Beautify the environment

Trees beautify the landscape and enhance the quality of life for all residents. The
National Arbor Day Foundation has recognized our city as a “Tree City, USA” since
1987 in honor of the care we provide for our trees.
Trees provide aesthetic, environmental, and economic values, including clean air and increased
property values. The Trees & Landscaping Division is responsible for the oversight of planting,
pruning, preservation and removal of trees in city right-of-ways by private contractors, volunteer
organizations and citizens when working in and around trees within city jurisdiction.
These activities can be broken into three categories. These categories are Private Property, Public
Property and Utility Trees.
Private Property
Generally refers to any tree not obstructing Utility Lines
planted on the resident’s property.

Public Trees: Generally refers to any tree planted in
open spaces, in parkways (the area between a street curb
and sidewalk), and right-of-ways along streets whether
the trees are planted by a contract, by a city representative
or by a resident.

Utility Trees
Generally refers to any tree on private property or on the
city right-of-ways that are encroaching on utility power
lines.

Can I trim a city tree?

You may not trim a city tree without a permit. The city will allow you to hire your own licensed
contractor through a no fee permit process provided the staff agrees with the trimming needs of
the tree. You can also pay the city to have its contractor trim the tree at a cost of $50 for the first
tree and $39 for each additional tree.
How can I get the city’s tree removed?
The city's Urban Forestry Policy outlines the criteria for removal of a city tree. If your tree does
not meet those criteria you can appeal the inspector's decision by contacting the
(dial 311).
If your tree does meet those criteria, it will be scheduled for removal. To expedite its removal, you
can either apply for a no fee permit to have a licensed contractor remove the tree or you can use
the city's contractor and pay the bid price.
So a City who is hell bent on beautifying a City, while the White Collar Criminals of
“other Counties” ask it's residents to kill off tress within a Park, and dismantle healthy
Trees most likely the City owns Mmmmmmm. Whats up with that?

On August 22nd, I started a journey to get rid of the Drug Element in our
Neighborhood by using the power of the internet. By Tuesday I had the County
Tax Accessor making inquires on my home taxes, clearly a violation of
“Confidentiality Laws” posed here. Working with the Net obviously worked, my
You Tube Friends in the DEA moved on something that wasn't due to be moved
on until next week, so because an escalation was moved upon towards me and
those I Love, I must now pose a question KNOWING how fast the Internet works
on things regarding White Collar Crime against our Trees. Knowing that Scribds
is read by the Elite in Writing, Politics, Schools, and Government Officials on all
Levels, this is my question. Just who does own the Trees on Spruce and Atlanta
in Southern California? And why if Riverside, along with many outside of
California who want Trees, why are Owners killing them off in record numbers?
Why is this Crime allowed, and Criminal Elements allowed to maintain their
rights to stay in a Community to commit more Crime? Follow the Money
