Since 1992, The Advocates for Human Rights has been a local and national leader in bringing theprinciples of international human rights to the classroom and the community. We partner with schools toprovide training and support on how to incorporate human rights into the school curriculum. We alsocreate, pilot, and disseminate curricular resources for use in human rights education throughout theU.S. We believe that educating about human rights and responsibilities is the most important way toensure long-term improvements in respect for human rights in the United States and around the world
.
“...The more people know their own rights, and themore they respect those of others, the better thechance that they will live together in peace. Only when people are educated about human rights canwe hope to prevent human rights violations, and
thus prevent confict as well.”

~ Kof Annan, Dec. 10, 2000
