Please see the following taskings and deadlines from the Deputy Commissioner:

Due Monday, May 14

OBP and SBI - You are responsible for drafting written protocols for dealing with local
officials to ensure that OBP managers accompany others who need to contact varous groups
or individuals (and/or OFO as appropriate).

Due Thursday, May 17

OBP - Please coordinate with other offices as necessary to prepare an outreach plan to cover
community contacts in the field as well as other stakeholders for the next 60 days. Please
submit this information sooner if available.
OBP and SBI - Please coordinate with other offices as necessary to develop a structure for
communciations activities inside CBP.

Due Friday, May 18

OBP - Please coordinate with SBI and others to draft consistent messaages for use in
community outreach and communicatiosn with other stakeholders.

Due the week of May 21

Maya Chenault - Please coordinate with other offices as necessary to set up meetings with
appropriate DHS offices to ensure agreement on approach to communications. Include
Intergovernmental ((b) (6) (b) (6) ; Public Affairs, Leg Affairs, Policy, and CFO.

Due the week of May 28:

OBP - Set up a follow-up meeting with Interior, Fish and Wildlife and any other agencies
outside DHS to go over communications plan.

Due Wednesday, May 30:

OBP and SBI - Please coordinate with OFO and other offices as needed to finalize a risk
assessment for Texas miles.

Note that although OBP has the lead on many items, they will coordinate with all affected
