You can enjoy wireless Internet in the place where the wireless Access Point is installed (Hot Spot). After inserting
the wireless LAN card into the CompactFlash Slot of YOPY, set the wireless LAN setting window.

Inserting the card
Insert the wireless LAN card into the CF slot of the YOPY.
The wireless LAN setting screen appears when tapping [Start] => [Network] => [WLAN Config].
Profile
1. Creating New Profile
Tap [Profile] on the WLAN Settings screen. There is the “Default” profile.
Profile Name
You can designate the profile name of setting wireless LAN environment.
SSID
This is the name of the wireless LAN network group. You can see the list of APs around you when tappingthe

Mode
There are two working modes such as “Infrastructure” and “AdHoc”.
Infrastructure is the mode that enables the YOPY to be connected to internet through AP around it.
AdHoc is the mode that enables communication to be possible between the devices.
Channel
You can set channel when you use AdHoc mode.
The devices should be on the same channel so that they may communicate with each other.
Power Saving
You can use power of the battery efficiently when you turn the mode “On”.
You can save power of the battery with the turned on mode as the YOPY gets into the sleep mode when there is no
data communication. But communication speed could be a little bit slow for a second at the time you restart
3. WEP Setting
You can set encryption on the following screen.

Status
It shows the current status of connection. It describes the status of connection
Survey
You can get information on the APs that are available around the current place
tapping the “Survey” button. Your device is connected to the AP(SSID) when
tapping “OK” button after selecting the AP. It normally takes about 3 seconds
for connection.
IP Setting
You can set IP after tapping [Start] Menu => [Network] => [Network]
You should enter “USE automatic IP” into the “Setting” box if the AP
set “Use static IP”, “IP Address, Subnet, Gateway, DNS”, etc.
