Description

David Meyers, former occultist and former witch, now repented and desciple of Christ, reveals deep insight through experiential knowledge into the minds of the occult activities occurring to this day.
In this tract, Meyers looks through the witchcraft and true hidden meanings filled in the occultic world of the Harry Potter series and franchise. Here from a former occultist the horrifying truth and of the blind christian churches who ignorantly fallow satans plan.

I have read this series, 3 times. Nowhere in this series is there a spell and none of the students at 'Hogwarts' worship satan. You just need to turn around and admit yourself into the psych ward where you rightfully belong

@ edc2k7 and Spidermonkey1918: Circe is mentioned in the very first book - I believe in relation with the chocolate frog cards. Hermes is the name of Percy's owl. Listen, I'm one of the biggest Harry Potter fans out there, but you really should be more careful when you're criticizing this kind of crap. If YOU don't do YOUR research, you come off looking like a fool.

Pretty drastic change to go from a witch to a pastor, don't you think? I'm with EDC2K7 - where did you get the words "Circe" and "Hermes" in the Harry Potter books? And yes, a lot of the characters' names aren't original, but have you never heard of Shakespeare? Was he trying to educate young people about witchcraft with 'double double toil and trouble'? Pretty sure he woukd have been burnt at the stake if he was. Did you ever consider that perhaps young people like to read the Harry Potter books just for the sake of it, or for the exciting action? Maybe some people even relate to the characters in the novels. Also, there is a reason it's called fantasy: it's not real!! And may I say I find it hard to believe that you think you can speak with authority on the issue 'as a former witch' - is that not blasphemy to your current occupation? It all comes down to the fact that J. K. Rowling is a very talented writer and you overanalyse way too much. I mean, my school, which is Catholic, looks like Hogwarts. Does it mean anything? No! My brother's school, also Catholic, studied "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" in year 7 and they loved every second of it. Funnily enough, he is not a spell-casting, magically trained student now, he just happened to do very well in year 7 english thanks to his great interest in the novel. Just from reading the whole thing about the books being manuals on witchcraft is giving me flashbacks to the DA when Fudge didn't want them trained in combat...we all know how he turned out...oh wait a minute you wouldn't because you haven't read that far! Next time you try writing something like this, may I suggest that you a) read ALL the books, b) make sure you get the point of the books and c) perhaps it would be better if you kept it to yourself actually, although I must admit i was laughing the entire time I read it. Oh and Simon and Garfunkle? Seriously? It's a SONG. Get over it.

Pastor David Meyer is a husband of Stephenie Meyer, so what we expect?

WOW.... That really sucked. First of all; this guy clearly has a need for attention. When it comes to some of your "evidence," the names Draco, Azcaban and so on all have one thing in common: They are all bad guys, or bad places, with negativ associations. Instead of skimming the books for scary stuff, why don't you read the whole thing first. That way you are you'll miss embarrassing your self. Peace and løv.

Okay, as a Christian myself, I have to completely disagree with Mr. Meyer. Mr. Meyer seems to think he knows everything about the book based on the fact that he was once into witchcraft himself. Because he was into witchcraft once does NOT mean he knows everything about this book. He acts like J.K. Rowling is trying to turn an entire generation over to witchcraft......which is not true. She's writing a book series. Hmmmmm....I've never noticed any people looking like the witches in harry potter, or anything of the sort. Mr. Meyer talks as if these four books were a guide to learning witchcraft, where they are CLEARLY not. They're a childrens series about a boy named Harry. Just like any other childrens series. Until the later books (which I admit, do get darker and darker, though good always overcomes evil), the magic used is like DISNEY magic. You wouldn't shout "SATAN!" at seeing a disney cartoon where mickey is doing magic, but you would at harry potter apparently. This Pastor obviously has not read the books for himself, or if he did, was clearly just skimming for bad things to say about it. He calls Dr. James Dobson a modern Judas Iscariot. Wow. Even the title of this page "what does god have to say?" clearly points out that Mr. Meyer is ABSOLUTELY sure his opinion is correct. He gives a bad name to all Christians, making us seem even more like these type of people, who literally judge books by their covers.

"Harry Potter? What Does God Have to Say?" God has to say that he thinks even though he knows magic doesn't exist, he believes people should believe in CREATIVITY.

Ummmm, this message is for AEMORGANS3856. O.k. Are you serious? Did you really compare Christ to Harry Potter? That makes absolutely no sense. Christ wants people to nothing to do with witchcraft and wizardry. If there are similarities between Christ and Harry, J.K. Rowling probably put them there so that Christians could use that as an excuse for reading them. I totally agree with Mr.Meyers. So if you don't then go ahead and tell me off. Don't take it out on Mr.Meyers.

The blatant Biblical allusions in Harry Potter destroy Meyer's points. In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows I don't think ANYONE could miss the obvious similarities between Christ and Harry. To put it simply: -Both willingly walked to their deaths. -They both could have avoided dying, but chose not to. -They died for the sake of the world (in Harry's case, the wizarding world, which -is- essentially the world to him). -Christ died so that we might live; Harry died so that everyone he loved/knew might live. -Their deaths were actions of amazing love. -They both rose again (While Harry didn't technically die, it amounts to the same thing). But wait! There's more (this is just stuff that's occurring to me off the top of my head). -Harry and Jesus had prophecies about they, made before they were born. -There are some interesting similarities between Satan and Voldemort. Satan was essentially God's chief of staff, if you will, and ended up the most awful evil thing ever. Voldemort was extremely admired in his youth: Head Boy, a star student, a young man who had a future so bright one professor predicted he might even be Minister of Magic some day, etc. But he ended up the most evil wizard ever to live. The lessons taught by Harry Potter and the themes that dominate it are not of evil. They are of love. The idea that love is the greatest weapon--the power the Dark Lord know's not. With all due respect, Mr. Meyer, I believe you don't provide any ample evidence that shows how Harry Potter is evil. You seem to make the fatal mistake of casting unfair judgment.

There are no words to describe the stupidity of wasting minutes of my life reading this. Totally untrue down to the last word. Being a witch? Please, that such bogus. Not to mention the declaration that CHRISTIAN churches are teach SATANIC things. Your way off your mark here missus.
