Ú Business ethics refers to the moral principle
which should govern business activities.
They are concerned with determining what
is right and what is wrong while doing the
business. Business ethics provide a code of
conduct for the managers. Another concept
related to business ethics is that of ³values´
which denote society¶s beliefs regarding
certain issues.

Ú Bhopal is not just an incident of industrial disaster and

human suffering from the last century. It is very much an
issue of the present century of corporate accountability,
people rights, and government responsibility. The lack of
mandatory laws and norms governing multinationals, legal
compleities, and government failures are serious obstacles
in ensuring justice for the people of Bhopal, and for the
victims of corporate complicity in crimes against
environment, peoples lives and safety.

Ú An integrity approach to business can yield strengthened
competitiveness: it facilitates the delivery of quality products
in an honest, reliable way. This approach can enhance work
life by making the workplace more fun and challenging. It can
improve relationships with stakeholders and can instill a more
positive mindset that fosters creativity and innovations among
the stakeholders.
Ú The purpose of ethics is to enhance our lives and our
relationships both inside and outside of the organization.
