INTRODUCTION TO WIRING
STANDARDS
the codes are designed to provide only minimum
security requirements for performing tasks. Codes
usually governed the important parts of what is
being done.

The functions of the codes
property of the emerging dangers of the use of electricity. Electricity codes attempt to
provide the following:
Protection against electric shock
Protection against failures of current, where out of voltages are unforeseeable routes
to land also unpredictable ways
• Protection from heat effects of electric current
• Protection against the current envelope
• Protection against the envelope voltage

Protection against electric shock

Protection against failures of current, where out of voltages are
unforeseeable routes to land also unpredictable ways

12/08/10
Protection from heat effects of electric current

has the opposite, produce a thermal performance is much lower than any
gradiante applying you a current (Peltier other conventional refrigerator and
effect), electric moving heat from one side therefore is used only in small
to the other (heat pump), making that you refrigerators.
one is cool and other hot

12/08/10
Protection against sobre-corriente

Protection against current envelope is very similar to that used in

circuit television, if about resistance circulates a stream not
producing a voltage drop at their ends more than.6 Volt transistor
remains in court and off protection.

12/08/10
CLASSIFICATION of the pins pins of an integrated medium-power are classified as
follows: voltage components and integrated voltage these component signal
components have 4 power, two direct inputs and two on the resistance of 100 ohm
type oxide cash to feed the internal preamplifiers

12/08/10
Protection against the envelope voltage

positive voltage output, this is enough to put in driving part above (which
detects positive VCD) transistor polarized in direct connection to Union
B-E, which enters saturation and sends the 5 volts on Earth, by enabling
the protection which team moves to block ignition.

WHAT ARE LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL
STANDARDS
INTERNATIONAL STANDARDISATION
ORGANISATION (ISO) / IEC
the International Organization for
Standardization (ISO) is an international
organization composed of national
organizations for Standardization of more than
140 countries .
The National Institute American of
Standardization (ANSI), ISO is a non-
governmental organization that promotes the
development of standards and related activities.
ISO work leads to international agreements,
which are published as international standards .

STANDARDS OF NATIONAL
DELEGATIONS
The American National Institute of standards (ANSI) is a
private organization that manages and coordinates the
sessment of compliance and voluntary standardization
for the United non-profit. The ANSI itself does not
develop standards. facilitates the development by
establishing consensus among qualified groups
processes.
INSTITUTE OF ELECTRICAL AND
ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING
(IEEE)
the IEEE is a leading authority in technical
areas ranging from computer engineering,
biomedical technology and telecommunications
to electrical energy, the aerospace and
consumer electronics

IEEE 802 STANDARDS

IEEE established a Committee to develop standards for

networking, in particular for cabling and data transmission.
The Committee is known as 802 Committee (802 refers to
the [1980] year and month [February]). Committee set up
subcommittees and standards known as standards 802, with
specific standards to which is assigned a value decimal as
802.3 (Ethernet) and 802.5 (Token Ring).
IEEE 802 STANDARDS

12/08/10
IEEE 802.3 (Ethernet standard)
This standard describes the series of digital bits that
travel over the wire. Ethernet is unique in its way to
access cable. IEEE 802.3 and variants get use of the
cable to compete for him. This system is called multiple
access with carrier detection and collision detection
(CSMA/CD, Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision
Detection).

802.3a 1985 o cheapernet). Longitud máxima del
segmento 185 metros
IEEE 802.11 (Wi-Fi)
the use of the two lower levels of the OSI
(physical and data link layer), architecture by
specifying its rules of operation in a WLAN.

GENERAL CONCEPTS
 Stations: computers or devices with wireless interface .
 Media: you can define two RF and infrared .
 Access point (AP): has the functions of a bridge (connects two networks
with similar or different levels of link), and is therefore relevant frame
conversions .
 Distribution system: important because they provide mobility between AP
for frames between different points of access or terminals, help is the
mechanic that controls where the station is to send the frame.
STANDARDS TIA EIA
TIA/EIA-568-B tries to set standards that will allow the
design and implementation of wiring systems for
commercial buildings and between buildings on campus
environments .

The main standard TIA/EIA-568-B.1

defines general requirements, while...
TIA/EIA-568-B.2 focuses on balanced
pairs cable systems components and
the - 568 - B.3 addresses components
of fiber optic cable systems.
Cabling
Wiring with regard to
the standard
connection, in a
modular RJ-45
connector pins are
numbered 1 to 8, still
pin 1 of the left end of
the connector and pin
8 on the far right .
OTHER organizations
there are many other organizations that have
developed international standards which are then
adopted by others.
ACE
provides a dynamic link to a
network of programs and activities
that provide commercial and
technical information research
market trends and analyses,
access to leaders of industry,
Government, and technical and
educational training companies
GEIA
La Association Government electronic technology and the information (GEIA)
forms of governmental market Association of electronics industries (EIA)
sector. Represents high-tech industries

JEDEC
Association of technology in solid state of the Joint Council of Engineering
electronic devices (JEDEC) is the EIA Semiconductor Engineering
standardization body. JEDEC was established, originally in 1960 as a joint
activity between EIA and NEMA to discuss standardization of discrete
semiconductor devices; in 1970 was expanded to include integrated circuits
NEMA
The National Association of manufacturers of electricity
(NEMA), NEMA has made numerous contributions to
the electricity industry in shaping the development of
public policies and to function as a confidential central
agency to collect, compile and analyze data of statistics
and market economy.

Codes for telecommunications cabling

12/08/10
"25 Pair color code" is a code used to uniquely identify a driver in
telecomunicaciónes for use indoors, known as crossover cables cabling
color. The insulation of each driver is colored, the first color is elected
five color set and another color of a second group, offering 25 two-color
combinations .

Resumen
Standards ensure that wiring work according to
specifications. Organizations that develop
standards also serve as industry leaders to
determine if new technologies are compatible with
existing ones, and whether they meet the objectives
laid down by those who develop such technologies.

standards of the following organizations for
