Nominations Close - Don't Take a Risk, Vote CoxIt is with great relief that I have, without undue stress or trouble, been nominated for the position of CF Chairman. I would at this time like to thank all my supporters sofar for the excellent work they have been doing for my campaign, and I would urgethem to keep up the pressure for the next few weeks until the close of poll. We havea real chance to change CF, and if you elect me, it will not be a chance wasted.Earlier this week, Simon Cavalier-Jones pulled out of the race and threw his fullsupport behind the Cox Campaign. With Simon came a whole host of major support, ranging from Bath, Yorkshire, the East Midlands and pockets from across the wholecountry. This, combined with my pre-existing support in London, the South East,Wales, Nottingham and a whole host of university branches. The momentum for this campaign is with me, and we are stealing a march on all theother candidates. My values are right and my vision is clear. The real choice at this election is between Sound vs. Wet, or, put more bluntly, Coxvs. Howlett. I have no time for candidates who take an easy option of joining whenthe field looks a little easier. It exhibits cowardice of the highest order, and does notshow the true dedication needed for this job.I am clear in my conviction that throughout this election campaign, I have taken Bento task on his policies. I am certain that if we were to elect Ben, CF would never recover from the malaise of bureaucracy or the impotence of inspiration. We simplycannot take that risk. With me, CF would have a clear, visionary focus on the things that mattered: Campaigning for a ‘NO’ vote at the AV referendumCreating exec meetings right across the countryStanding up and vehemently opposing Vince Cable’s grad taxMaking CF relevant to the outside world whilst still having a good timeMaking sure the Lib Dems don’t take our party for a ride in this coalitionA vote for me would be a vote for sound leadership, a bold message to the party thatwe are Conservatives because we believe in freedom, in responsibility and in principle. This election is between two candidates who provide you with two clear choices. Myopponent will write plenty of documents and drive around telling you how great theyare...whilst forgetting that CF must be an effective, efficient machine and not just avehicle for spin.Or you can vote for policy. You can vote for a man who is principled. You can votefor a Conservative. You can vote for Craig Cox.6 September Lincolnshire CF Backs Cox2010
