Bears on the Loose
We've booked lanes from 7PM - so please try and be there by 6:30 -6:45ish. And RSVP here so we can get a good idea of numbers. We'dlove to see you there of course, and a big turnout means we'll be doingplenty of these BEARS ON THE LOOSE events in the future.

Where has the year gone?
It seems like only yesterday we were getting ready to putSouthern HiBearnation together for 2010 and trying to co-ordinate the shipment of 'Bear City' from it's origins in theUSA before showing it off to all the Aussie bears... and nowthat's all behind us!This is the first newsletter SINCE HiBearnation, and that'sbecause the committee has been busy settling in with a newbunch of misfits. Welcome back to President Rick, Vice-Prezme, Secretary Peter and Committeemen Joe and Jack. Othercommittee members from 2009-2010 have stepped downfrom their roles, and we should take a moment to saythankyou to Will, Jason and Peter B. for all the hard workthey put in over the past year.The silver lining about these guys leaving is that we have thelovely Clint returning as Treasurer after taking a break lastyear, and the welcoming of new blood comes in the form ofhostess Rob and photographer Kevin, who complete themagic 8 to make one of our most diverse and hard-workingcommittees ever!So as I enter into my personal third year on the VicBearscommittee, we're staring down the barrel of what couldpotentially be the biggest year of the club to date.We've done surveys with you guys to see what you wantfrom us, and we're putting it all together to try to revampthe club into something even MORE fun and exciting than ithas been before. New logo, new events and more reasons tobe a member... we're all incredibly excited, and we'relooking forward to sharing it all with you in the comingmonths.Southern HiBearnation 2011 is already in planning (which isa scary thought - didn't we just have one??) andGrrrampians is just around the corner over Melbourne CupWeekend, so it's non-stop madness for all of us... but wewouldn't have it any other way!See all you bears at bowling in a couple of weeks, andkeep an eye out for Rick and I at the upcoming Den Night,which happens to fall on Grand Final Day – whenCollingwood wins the premiership, we're going to be buyingrounds of celebratory drinks until dawn!!Woof woof!Luke.Vice President
