Truth is in the silence
not the noise
Beehive girls
Behave boys
Throwaway those adult toys
Get into the game in your visual frame
of your non-virtual reality
Create an avatar of the other me
You want the world to see
we’re as different
as we are the same
There is more to us than an image
and an non-exclusive name
Inherited patterns
Strip mind
Moulded
Chosen by design
We are all refined
We can all be redefined
in everything we think and do
Who Am I
Who are You
When we look into a mirror
 is the reflection true
or shaped by distorted views
from influential figures
that shape-shift the news
and imprison society
so that eye fear you
and youth hear me
We shout and scream
at the manufactured meme
Another stereotypical enemy
confronts our exposed psychology
We swing
We duck and dive
We slip
We fall from the slide
and bruise our knees and pride
For a time we hide
face-down in the mud
The green grass of home
is now drenched in our blood
Naked we stand
yet clothed by ideas
from Mother’s hidden dirt
and Father’s fallen tears.
