Dan immigratedto the US as a teenager, learned the restaurant business and soon was aproud restaurant owner. He continued in the restaurant business for over40 years, and together with his loving wife raised a family as residents of the San Fernando Valley. Dan was a dedicated Father and Grandfather wholoved to chase and be chased by his three rambunctious grandsons. Histhree leventia were the light of his life and kept him smiling through hisdeclining health. Dan believed in the power of prayer and was mostgrateful and proud of the life he had made for his family. He often said that when you are a good person, work hard and believe in God, anything ispossible. Dan is survived by his son Peter (wife Debbie), daughter Thresa(husband George Alex) and his three incredible grandsons, Daniel, Johnand Nicholas, and his brother Nick in Greece. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Tula. Dan and Tula were dedicated members of St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church since the early 50's and wereextremely proud of their Greek heritage. Their honeymoon was a drive west to Los Angeles, California where they made their home in La Canada Flintridge in 1950. Bob coachedhis three sons through La Canada Junior Baseball and supported hisdaughter's competitive tennis endeavors. His work began as a developmentengineer at the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and then life insurancesales with the Penn Mutual Company. He was the long time owner of Helmick Bond & Insurance a property/casualty agency in Pasadena,California. Bob is remembered as a people person with a quick and oftensarcastic wit. His head was never without some kind of jaunty hat. Hot weather did not diminish his interest in wearing a sharp tie, button downshirt and a snappy suit. Bob is survived by four children and spouses, 13grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services wereconducted on August 27, 2010 at the Church of Our Saviour in San Gabriel,California. She is survived by a half-brother, Leo Weill;niece, Bonnie of Kent, Ohio; and nephew, Ed Weill and family of RohnertPark, CA. Louise lived her early years in the New York City and New Jersey area. She first started working in Endicott, NY, after completing secretarialschool. She was hired by IBM in Binghamton, NY, in the early 1960s. She worked as a manager with IBM at locations in New York, San Francisco,San Jose, Los Angeles, and Japan for two years in the mid 80s.After havingmoved numerous times with IBM, she came to San Diego in 1998. Shemade Rancho Bernardo her home for more than 10 years. She was active in various organizations, always donating her computer knowledge to supportthem. She served as the Newsletter chair for Wednesday, Etc for several years and was a tour leader for the Oaks North Travel Club and served asits president for four terms.
