business on 24.07.2007.
V One should not smoke inside the container as most containers have wooden
flooring.
V Use a electric blower/fan to relieve discomfort caused due to humidity/suffocation.
V The weight of cargo must be distributed evenly within the container. The centre of
gravity should not be above half the height of the container, and it should be within
two feet from the centre of container in the front-rear direction and within one
foot in the sidewise (transverse) direction.
V Take special care of glass cargo. Keep heave cargo at the bottom.
V Liquid cargo should not be stored above non liquid cargo.
V Keep soft cargo away from objects with protrusions and sharp corners.
V Apply sufficient dunnage to the cargo.
V Take special attention while opening the container door as the cargo may fall down
while doing so.
