9/11 A Memorial

We awoke that day in confusion. That haunting scene on our T. V.s. People screaming in
the streets and all the smoke. New York was enveloped in your writhing cloud of hate.
The Pentagon a scene of your twisted, corrupted rage. Misguided and misinformed.
No virgins would meet you up above. You sick cowards. Should be ashamed.
The scene in that smoking field. When those immortalized words were spoke. “Let's
roll.” That is the Iconic American state of mind. We leave no man behind.
Yet we do not harden our hearts toward you. In spite of all the reasons that exist.
Just leave us out of this. Or you will pay. We may forgive but we shall not forget.....
