This document sets out the procedure for preparing a Job Descriptionand Person Specification for a post within the Directorate of Estates.2.
Procedure
2.1 Group managers are responsible for producing and maintainingaccurate Job Descriptions and Person Specifications for all staffwithin their group.2.2 Reference should be made to the University Document for theRecruitment and Selection Policy and Procedure that can be foundon the University staffnetRecruitment & Selection Policy and Procedure2.3 Group Managers should prepare Job Descriptions and PersonSpecifications using the template (Appendix A).

The recurrentbudget for the Directorate is around £35 million per annum, excluding capitalexpenditure.The University’s Estate is situated predominantly on the Oxford Road Campus andthe Sackville Street Campus that adjoin one another. The University includesbuildings that are listed dating from the 19
