Capturing the Magic of Canandaigua Lake with Art by Ruth Haas

An art exhibit showcasing Ruth Haas will be shown at Finger Lakes Gallery and Frame the entiremonth of October, with an opening reception on Friday, October 1
from 4-7pm. The exhibitwill include colorful oil paintings of Canandaigua Lake and some Finger Lakes inspired works.

has been shown all over the world. It is clearthat she truly enjoys what she does.
Ruth Haas, who's bio as an artist spans over a half a century, trained in Germany where she alsoapprenticed and studied with well-known artists. Her career brought her to the Rochester area,where she is a signature member of the Rochester Art Club, as well as a member of the PittsfordArt Club and the Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester and Old Forge. Her wet-in-wet techniquegives her opportunity to mix colors right on the canvass and her use of strong colors give newdepth to Finger Lakes scenery. Along with the Adirondacks and the East Coast, she admits thatpainting the Finger Lakes is one of her favorite subjects.Ruth Haas finds that all seasons of the year give her plenty opportunity to paint, and proves thatthe beauty of nature comes alive in this local exhibit that features scenes of Canandaigua Lake.The exhibit runs October 1
thru October 31
at Finger Lakes Gallery and Frame, where RuthHaas is a featured artist.
