Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease
High blood pressure is commonly seen in most peoplethese days. But do you know that it has a very closeconnection with cardiovascular diseases? Read on to learnabout hypertensive cardiovascular disease.Hypertensive cardiovascular disease also known ashypertensive heart disease occurs due to the complicationof hypertension or high blood pressure. In this condition theworkload of the heart is increased manifold and with timethis causes the heart muscles to thicken. The heartcontinues pumping blood against this increased pressureand over a period of time the left ventricle of the heartenlarges and this in turn causes the blood pumped by heartto reduce. If proper treatment is not taken at this stage thensymptoms of congestive heart failure may be observed.

High blood pressure or hypertension is among the topmost factors associated with cardiovascular diseases. This can result in ischemic heart disease.High bloodpressure is also a contributing factor to the eventualthickening of walls of blood vessels. This increases thepossibility of heart attacks and strokes. Hypertensivecardiovascular disease is among the leading killers inpresent times. Around 7 people out of every 1000suffer from this disease. Heredity is an importantfactor so far as people suffering from hypertension areconcerned. Other factors include excessiveconsumption of salt and excessive stress.

Eventually hypertensive heart disease can also leadto congestive heart failure. Some symptoms of hypertensionand the eventual congestive heart failure include arrhythmias, shortness of breath, weakness and fatigue, swelling in lowerextremities and greater frequency of urination during thenight. Hypertensive cardiovascular disease may also result inischemic heart condition and in this case there might be chestpain, sweating and dizziness, nausea and shortness of breath.Hypertrophic cardiomyopathycould also be a result of hypertensive heart disease.
