This poem was written once in the early Eighties, but I had lost all copies of it. The first half of the poem, from memory, is essentially this early version, but the last half of the poem I had no memory of and have written again. The Genesis of the poem was the experience of walking home from work one dark winter night during a snow storm. I happened to notice a rectangular break in the cloud cover just large enough to view the constellation Orion (The Hunter).
