Planning is one of the best way for deciding how
to produce, what to produce & hour much to produce.
Here, in Ajanta the production dept work
accordingly what mktg dept says & their planning depends
on market demand.
Sometimes production is planned not only on the
demand but also on the estimation basis as the co. when
bunches new product 1st it gives the product in market &
then surveys over it & according to its demand starts
further production.
So, whole process is a controlled process.

Promotion:-
Promotion is a kind of reward given to the person
for his well performance in his particular job.
A confidential report is prepared by the
supervisor from the records file of every staff member
according to which promotion procedure is done supervisor
fulfills this confidential report about staff on the basis of
their obedience level to his head, performance, working level
if any person is appoint ant any work by his head then how
he behaves & his handling method.
For Ajanta promotion is not just on the seniority
basis or experience basis but depends also on work &
mentality basis.
48
Transfer:-
Transfer system in Ajanta is for permanent basis
only generally transfer for any office staff is done unless his
work is good & needs to transfer. If we take the e.g. Of mktg
dept then they can be transferred & promoted anywhere in
India or state depending on their equivalency, strong efforts
had working & talent.
If marketing executive post is given area sales
manager post then ASM is transferred to the city or state
where mktg team is weak.
So promotion is on yearly basis & transfer is
permanent this decision is taken by chairman or by
director.

LEVERAGE ANALYSIS
90
1. Operating leverage
O L results from the existence of fixed operating
expense in the firm’s incomes stream.
It may be defined as firms ability to use fixed
operating cost to indignity effects of difference in sales on
earning before interest & tax (EBIT)
We employee assets with fixed cost in the hope
that sales will produce resource more then sufficient to
cover all fixed & variable cost. In other words with the use of
OL the Co. can magnify impact of sales on exit. All can be
calculated as follows
Degrees Operating Leverage =
% change in EBIT
% change in sales
2. Financial leverage
Financial leverage results from the presence of
fixed financial charges in the firms sources of finance. There
fixed charges do not very with EBIT or operating profit. They
have to be paid regardless of amount of EBIT available to
pay debt after paying them the operating profit belongs to
the ordinary shares.
F. L. is concerned with the effect of change in
EBIT on the earning available to equity shareholders. It is
defined as “The ability of a firm to use fixed financial
charges to magnify the effects of changes in EBIT on the
firms EPS”. (Earning per share)
91
Thus, financial leverage can be measured by the
following formula
3. Combined leverage
operating leverage & finance leverage together
cause wide fluctuation in EPS for a given change in sales if
a Co. employees high level of OL & FL ever small change in
sales will have drastic impact on EPS O.L or risk is
measured by degree of change in EBIT due to change in
sales. F.L is measured by change in EPS due to change in
EBIT. Thus, combined leverage can be the mixture of bath
leverage & reflect total risk.
DOL = % in EBIT
% in sales
= % in EPS
% in EBIT
= % in EPS
