The 21th Annual Sand Painters Open Show held at the Cherry County Fair was a great success

with
81__entries from the sandhills region.

This year’s judge and guest artist was Donna Binfield of Junitia. Binfield is an ANAC past president
and signature member of Chicago Pastel Painters. Results of the adult division are:

Best of Show – David Dorsey of Newport–‘The Red Scarf’ and his body of works
1st Place - Patricia Coslor of Sargent –‘Dish and Spoon’ watercolor
2nd Place - Pat Schemmer of Valentine –“Grape Vessel” raku
3rd Place- Chana Orton of Mills – “A Sea of Red” acrylic

Receiving the Betty Kime Founding Member Memorial is ___David Dorsey “Cotton Wood
Dance” (donated by Dave and Annie Kime family) and the
Veronica Heelan Founding Member Memorial Award is _Patricia Coslor “Santa LE Casita”

The Douglas Ballard Memorial awards for outstanding photography [funded by Ballard’s sales ] are;
