The Battle of Good and Evil”II.Instructions
1.The participants will be grouped into three groups by draw lots.2.One by one, each participant will proceed at the “Cauldron of Fate” to pick apiece of paper.
3.
The piece of paper will contain any of the three phrases:
Man is Frail, The Good prevails,
and
The evil reigns.
4.
Those who randomly pick up the phrase
Man is frail 
will be classified to Group 1, thosewho got
The good prevails
belong to Group 2, and those with
The evil reigns
to Group 3.5.The participants will be instructed to keep secret the Group to which they belongas it might jeopardize their achieving the goal later.6.Facilitators 1 and 2 will be assigned to Group 1, Facilitators 3 and 4 on Group 2,and Facilitators 5 and 6 on Group 3.7.The assigned facilitators will ensure the safety of the blindfolded participants of their group.8.The three groups correspond to three roles bound by three different rules.9.The Over –all facilitator will present the Roles in a PowerPoint slide. These roleswill be called: “Rumblings of Fate”10.He will give the following instructions:1.“We have strategically designated two places to represent Heaven and Hell.”2.“I will not reveal to you now the exact bearing of these places until later when allof Group 1 is blindfolded.
 
3.“You have been classified in three Groups which you have kept secret fromanyone. These groups correspond to three roles with three different rules.4.“Let me present first the rules for Group1” (the facilitator presents and reads thePowerPoint Slides of the Rules of Man):
i.
The main goal of man is to reach Heaven/ Nirvana with his heartat handii.He will hold his 'heart' and it will be his lifeiii.His guide or anyone may ask for it, he may give it if he wants toiv.He will be blindfolded as he looks for Heaven/ Nirvanav.The ultimate test of man is to choose the right guide to follow5.“The heart of man will be given only after he is blindfolded. Be careful Men towhom you give your hearts, the guide you choose may lead you to Heaven orHell.”6.“Let me present now the rules for Group 2” (the facilitator presents and readsthe PowerPoint Slides of the Rules of The Good):

The main goal of the Good is to bring man to heaven and collectas many hearts as he caniii.He will ask for any man's heart. The giving of heart should bevoluntary
iv.
Those who give their hearts will be led by the Good to heaven
v.
He will not say or do anything that is not goodvi.He should not touch man, only man can touch and hold on to him
vi.
The ultimate test of the Good is to convince man to follow him toheaven1.“The Good ones, remember, your actions may not be unethical and evil. Be wiseand bring men to heaven.”2.“Lastly, let me present the Rules for Group 3.” (the facilitator presents and readsthe PowerPoint Slides of the Rules of The Evil):

The main goal of the evil is to bring man to hell and collect asmany hearts as he caniv.He will ask for any man's heart. The giving of heart should bevoluntary

Those who give their hearts will be led by the evil to hellvi.He should not touch man, only man can touch and hold on to himvii.He can do and say anything he wants just to convince man
vi.
The ultimate test of the evil is to convince man to follow him tohell7.“The Evil ones, be subtle. Men will be wary of you, you must be strategic in youractions. Convince men to come to Hell.”8.“The Group who succeeds in bringing the most men in his place wins.”9.“I’m giving you 30 minutes to do this activity.”10.“The activity will only start after I have said the word, ‘Shoot!’11.“Do you have any questions or clarifications?”
 
III.Experiencinga.
The Over-all Facilitator will now instruct all the Group1 members to proceed atthe front below the stage.
b.
The members of the two others Groups will remain on their positions and staydiscreet of their identities.
c.
He will then instruct the Group 1 to blindfold themselves.
d.
The Facilitators assigned on Group 1 will ensure that everyone in the group istotally blindfolded by checking them individually.
e.
Now, the facilitator will say, “Are you ready? Then, shoot.”
f.
While the activity is on-going, the facilitators should keep track of time.
g.
The over-all facilitator should start preparing the materials needed for theprocessing.
IV.Processinga.Data gathering
i.After the activity, a questionnaire and a blank paper will be given to theGroup facilitators.ii.The questionnaire contains data-gathering questions to be answered inthe blank paper for 15 minutes time.iii.The three groups will choose their secretary to record their group’sanswers and as well a reporter to share their answers to the wholegroup.iv.The facilitators assigned to each group will guide the discussions andensure that everyone participates with the activity.
v.The questionnaire will contain the following questions:
1.What were the insights you have gathered form the activity?2.What do you think is the biggest contributor to succeed in theactivity?3.What do you think is the best strategy to be successful in theactivity?4.What do you think is the effect of not knowing where your targetplace is, as in Group 1?5.Was the task of choosing the right guide too difficult or evenimpossible? Elaborate.
