Other sports/activities will be touch on throughout the year (ie: gymnastics/dance,


dodgeball, etc.). Safety will be stressed at the beginning of every class.
There will also be other topics covered as well, these include:
1. Why would/are people attracted to commercially promoted means for weight
loss?
2. Why does society have a weight problem?
3. The comparison of lifting heavy weights as opposed to lifting lighter weights.
4. First Aid
5. Personal reflections to:
- Steroids used by professional athletes
- Criminal charges against athletes as the result of actions during sporting
competitions
- Fan abuse/attacks on athletes and/or officials
