VBB comes along local Christian ministries in closedcountries to provide materials: We do this through shippingcontainers, trucking and delivery by teams. But it is the TeamMinistry that we want to consider here. VBB team memberssee first-hand the impact of their deliveries in the eyes of localrecipients when they receive Bibles for the first time, flannel-graphs to illustrate Gospel stories, hand wind tape players tohear the Gospel in their language.Team Members see the appreciation that recipients have forthe basics in life we take for granted, such as seeds to growvegetables and to become a source of income, medical / disaster relief materials and clothing for impoverished. Manyvolunteers have traveled with us into closed countries and wewant to share the impact on their lives as expressed in theirtrip report.

What was most fulfilling to you?
To see God’s love in the eyes and faces of His children, evenin harsh conditions. W.F.Seeing the joy in those who received the materials, theirfellowship and prayer behind Communist fences. K.T.
and working with contacts for strategies for housingorphans. But to not diminish the importance of the other areas that the Lord is working in,it seemed good to bringanother aspect of VBB ministry to your attention for continued prayer and support.

Other Comments:
A young man sits in the archway to a mosque, barelycontrolling his tears….he responds positively to being prayedfor and handed a Bible. After touring the mosque, we see heis still openly reading and seems much more at peace…hewaves several times as we depart…As we reach the curb ahundred yards away, he has spanned the distance quickly andhugs each one of us - - smiling, laughing, his face beaming, joy spilling out of him. He is changed completely in less thanan hour and without one understandable word between us.This is Jesus at work! A.M.
REPORTS FROMON-SITE IN BURMA
Reports not only show the Burmese government’s lack of empathy and support of cyclone victims, but indicateaggressive behavior toward them to destroy them. But herewe will only discuss VBB projects’ update from Patrick onsite in Burma June 19th. We look to our partners toprayerfully support us in these projects.
Childrens Homes:
With now an estimated 60,000-80,000 children orphanedfrom the cyclone, reports are that serious problems aredeveloping with some of the orphans: they are beingconscripted into the military, taken as slaves or servants, andtaken to Thailand into sex slaveryVBB is focused to help build homes to shelter 50-100 each.VBB has just given $20,000 to our contacts for initialinvestment in land purchase in two areas for children’shomes. Each home is projected at current exchange rates tocost $50,000 ($ 20,000 for land and $30,000 forconstruction). VBB contacts know Christians that will directand fill support roles in the homes. A model that VBB hasbeen looking to and that has been enthusiastically agreedupon is to have Christian churches in USA take onresponsibility of building a home and supporting the childrenwho live there.
