There is another Reason:. Have you note that when you register in Youtube, the legal disclaimer you accept sais that you will give all the rights to Youtube of anything you upload?

think about it, Now, Youtube is the largest video feed OWNER, and now they put that on mobile phones...where you have to pay to use the internet through the operator.... how much of this money is going to youtube right now?

is a hell of a good business....

Your article made me want to look more into it here are some additional reasons:

They were expecting youtube to get sued without google’s help youtube would have lost.Had youtube lost, myspace –owned by Fox – would have become the number one.Buying youtube guaranted Google the number one position in the video ads Industry
