The case attracted national media attention and widespread public revulsion over the reported cruelty inflicted on multiple birds. ‘The BC SPCA prepared a report to Crown Counsel, recommending animal cruelty charges. To date, no charges have been announced. We are concerned at this undue delay and any potential impact it might have on a successful prosecution proceeding. There would no doubt be considerable public outrage if the alleged perpetrators of these extreme acts of cruelty were not brought to justice. hope you will consider these concerns and take whatever action is necessary to expedite ‘Crown Counsel’s work on this case.
