Welcome to Truckee — a vibrant, historically rich mountain town, Truckee is surrounded by spectacular Sierra Nevada beauty. A recreation paradise, outdoor enthusiasts will fi nd endless year-round recreation, a charming historic downtown, magnifi cent scenery and crisp, clean mountain air.

Truckee is an amazing place to experience the change of seasons. You don’t have to wander far off the beaten path to lose the stress, the worries, the trials of your world. A wildfl ower gently emerging from the snow, the summer sun glittering on Donner Lake, the brilliant amber glow of the trees in the fall, or the magnifi cence of a fresh snowfall set against the bluest sky you can imagine and deep green pine trees.

Full of excitement and energy, in addition to all the action-packed recreation is a full slate of events to round out your Truckee experience. Summer kicks off with a “Norman Rockwell” slice of Americana 4th of July Parade, pro cycling competition, classic car show, music festivals, rodeo, Renaissance Faire, hikes that combine art, nature and history. Winter brings epic snow, ski and snowboard competitions featuring some of the best athletes, full-moon tours, clinics and something just about every weekend of the season.

At the heart of it all is Truckee’s historic downtown where you can stroll through an incredible selection of shops or relax at wine bars and restaurants that are rustic or hip. From May through September, Truckee Tuesdays brings locals and visitors downtown for live music, sidewalk sales, dining specials, fresh fl ower market and more.

When you’re in town, drop by the Visitor Center in downtown Truckee centrally located in the historic train depot, where you can enjoy historic displays, pick up information about Truckee, or purchase something to help you remember your trip. For more information call 1-866-443-2027 or visit www.truckee.com.
