Description

The United Kingdom’s politicians have so far missed the opportunities created by new Internet phenomena such as social networking, according to this research.

He concludes that it is time for Members of Parliament and electoral candidates to harness the capabilities of new media, particularly in relation to meaningful engagement with constituents.

Love the article, Paul On another level I wonder in what way this Web 2.0 technology will transform the way that certain countries are governed in the future. Just looking at http://www.takingitglobal.org/ a few minutes ago and seeing how the youth of today will want to make decisions of their own rather than the typical apathetic approach we see in may countries. Certain countries come to mind like France where the population throughout history has united on points which other countries may have had a more lead point of view on. We may see a Gov 2.0 much like Don Tapscott devised the Enterprise 2.0 Would love to know your thoughts ? (Luke)
