How to Stop Global Warming?
• There are many easy solutions to reduce
global warming and its impact. First of all,
people should understand the problem
and take measures accordingly to save
the world. Let’s see some of the steps.
• 1) People should reduce the usage of
electrical appliances which emits green
house gases. For e.g. the incandescent light
lamp emits carbon dioxide. This can be replaced
by a compact fluorescent light bulb which saves
much energy.
How to Stop Global Warming?
– 2) Follow RRR-Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
People should not dump waste products in the
ground. Plant products, food waste, vegetable
dump undergoes anaerobic decomposition i.e.
they break down to produce methane. Hence
the product usage and wastage should be
reduced or recycled for a healthy atmosphere.
– 3) Trees absorb a large amount of carbon
dioxide. Many trees should be planted since
they involve in photosynthesis, food preparation
with the help of sunlight. During this process,
trees absorb carbon dioxide and exhale
oxygen. Also, existing forests should be saved.
How to Stop Global Warming?
– 4) Usage of green power prevents carbon
dioxide emission into the atmosphere. The
electricity obtained from the renewable
resources like wind and water is called green
power. The cost is also low in case of green
power.
– 5) Electric appliances should be in off
mode when not in use. This will save more
power.
– 6) Consumption of organic food should be
increased because organic soil absorb large
amount of carbon dioxide. Cows emits large
amount of methane due to their vegetarian
diet. Hence meat consumption should be
reduced.
How to Stop Global Warming?
– 7) Periodic maintenance of the vehicles
helps in efficient usage of fuel and reduces
release of green house gases. Proper inflation
of tyres should be done and fuel wastage
should be avoided.
– 8) Less driving. Instead, better use bicycles
or walk whenever and wherever possible.
– 9) Teach your neighbourhood and friends
about the cause and impacts of global
warming and methods to reduce it.
Hence, individuals and government
should be concerned about the
environment and stop the incoming
danger due to global warming.
What do the Sceptics Say
about Global Warming?
• Sceptics of global warming think that global warming is not
an ecological trouble. According to the global warming
sceptics, the recent enhancement in the earth's average
temperature is no reason for alarm. According to them earth's
coastlines and polar ice caps are not at a risk of vanishing.
They say predictions of global warming by climate models are
much distorted.
• According to the global warming sceptics temperature rises
happened before the extensive discharge of carbon dioxide in
the middle of the 20th century. According to the sceptics, the
earth’s climatic system is far stronger than being effected by
minor changes in the emission of carbon dioxide. Also if CO2
reasons to global warming, then the warmed air should rise,
dipping air pressure at the surface. All this has never been
observed. Also according to the sceptics the nature of
observations of the global warming scientists is not actually
correct because most of the observations are taken in cities or
airports where temperatures may be skewed higher.
What do the Sceptics Say
about Global Warming?
• Most of the global warming sceptics believe that the global
warming is not actually occurring. They stress on the fact the
climatic conditions vary because of volcanism, the obliquity
cycle, changes in solar output, and internal variability. Also
the warming can be due to the variation in cloud cover, which
in turn is responsible for the temperatures on the earth.
• The global warming sceptics are of the view that the global
warming is a good phenomenon and should not be stopped.
There are various benefits of global warming according to
them. According to the sceptics, the global warming will
increase humidity in tropical deserts. Also the higher levels of
carbon dioxide in the atmosphere trigger plant growth.
